Love it! Been thinking bout starting my own DIY candle making business. I’ve already chosen a name & even created my logo. I’ve never made a candle, so I have been doing hella research the past few days & you, along with a few other RU-vidrs have helped me understand quite a lot, before I even get hands on. So thank you. I’m not currently financially ready to start ordering supplies, so in the meantime RESEARCH!!! And I been thinking of my niche/color scheme, and other things as well that I can be doing. I’ve taken notes & gotten some supplies I’ll need written down.

Paris, I just rewatched this video again for the third time! My wife and I have been in the soap, skin care and candle business for 6 years. Releasing several new products across the board. We have worn 200 hats collectively all these years, never relinquishing a single thing to outside sources. Being stubbornly self reliant. Now that we are slipping into our mid 50's we are thinking of turning the books over to an outside source. How do you find a good reliable book keeper that won't rip you off? What is a fair price to pay someone for these services. My wife reminded me she's had the skin care portion for 8 years, see I'm slipping, lol! Any advice is appreciated in this area. We're probably crazy for not retaining a book keeper long ago. We are an llc as well, since the beginning. Thanks!

Congratulations! I found mine just from a referral...I love her. Bookkeepers that are self employed or through a company, honestly price can range. But expect to pay over $100 a month on average 😃

I am not familiar with other oils just yet and not sure what is in your oils enough to answer unfortunately; because sometimes oils can be flammable so maybe research what you use and see if it’s candle safe 😁

There isn’t really a formula, it’s just a matter of breaking down all your costs of goods (COGS). Once you get the total cost, you would double it for wholesale and triple it for retail 👍🏽

I have wicks that move once I blow them out or the wick curls and creates black soot in the candle. Any help there?

That’s mushrooming and soot; I have a troubleshooting guide link in my latest video that can help you minimize that happening. But sometimes it’s just what happens depending on the type of wick you use😊

You forgot another important thing, don't just make candle scents you like. Need to have a variety even the ones you don't like. But of course make sure there is a market for it first. 😘💞

Whatever I do I cant remove the wetspots bubbles lower temp pour , heatgun , heat the jar before pouring I TRIED ALL OF THESE AND I HAVE THIS ISSUE IN MY CANDLES CAN SOMEONE HELP ?

Sametkoo I mentioned in my video that I warm my jars in the oven prior to pouring. I only use a heat gun to fix the tops of my candles if needed😊 I warm before putting the wicks in.

Help!!! my candle is on fire, it's a 3 wick candle with premier WI-765 wicks, 3 wick tumbler, lemon verbena fragrance. Hopefully I will be able to upload the video
