You should do Nevermore, amazing band insane Guitarist haunting vocals. And in my opinion one of the most underrated metal bands out there together with Symphony X. This Godless Endeavor is my favorite 🤘🏻

Alright, Here's My Ranking of Candlemass. 12 - Dactylis Glomerata 11 - From the 13th Sun 10 - Death Magic Doom 9 - King of Grey Islands 8 - Psalms of the Dead 7 - The Door to Doom 6 - Chapter VI 5 - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus (I know it's low) 4 - Tales of Creation 3 - Ancient Dreams 2 - Nightfall 1 - Candlemass 2005 If it wasn't for the Self Titled Album, I wouldn't have gotten into this Band.

Epicus has to be number 1 it is one of the greatest Doom Metal albums of all time 🔥👍👍🤘🤘

I really love Chapter VI. Very catchy but still very heavy, very fun to listen to.

My Top 5 Candlemass Albums: 1) Nightfall 2) Tales of Creation 3) Epicus Doomicus Metallicus 4) Ancient Dreams 5) King of the grey islands „Nightfall“ is the greatest Doom Metal Album of all time. And „Tales“ is often underrated. Come on, Questy: „Tears“, the title Track and „Edge of Heaven“, how good are this songs? Masterpieces, bloody hell. Only Candlemass have written such amazing songs.

Dactylis and 13th Sun are some of the wankiest albums I have ever heard haha. I was pretty bored by King of the Grey Islands honestly, it starts very strong but really trails off after a few songs. Door to Doom and Sweet Evil Sun have been great, Johan is still great. Haven't heard Death Magic Doom or Psalms for the Dead but the latter has been recommended to me a couple times so I may try it out. Good list!!!

To be honest I didn't even try listening to the 90s albums haha But I'll give a listen to Chapter VI now that you talked so good about it I'm not sure what my ranking would be but I'd put Death Magic Doom where you put Psalms of the Dead, I love it so much maybe because it's the first I heard with Rob Lowe

I also prefer Ancient Dreams to Nightfall it puts me to sleep but in a good way and then the Black Sabbath jam at the end snaps me out of it. Man nothing can be more doomy than Epicus those songs are all perfect.

Nightfall is hands down the best. Not just CM, but Doom Metal in general. Then Tales of Creation, amazing. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Messiah Marcolin's Under Oak was the better version ;)

If you think these vocals are good, listen to Sabbat's album "Mourning has Broken." The band hates this release, but I think it's wonderful. Vocals are so over the top and beautiful at times. Richie Desmond, I believe.

The one band I could never come around to ranking like this, just never felt it works, the Lowe albums are different enough to be a different band, and as someone who loves the different singers the band has had I don't have it in me to simply say the original four albums are better than all the ones that came after, although I know there are plenty of purists who do insist on ranking the Lowe trio lower. So I usually say Ancient Dreams is my favourite Messiah album, Death Magic Doom is my favourite Lowe album, and Epicus Doomicus Metalicus is equal to them both and no I don't care to pick between them.

Don't agree at at all on the position of the Bjorn era albums. They're precisely psyche and raw, a lot of sabbath in there, and it's really great to see that side/shift after having had mutliple great albums in the "epic" vein. I don´t need 100 albums of the same thing.
