Candlemass with Messiah Marcolin as vocalist makes me feel an almost unbearable desire for a time machine. What else is ever going to be this perfect when it comes to metal? Someone, please tell me.
When I first heard the Ancient Days album back in 1989 I was amazed how much Candlemass sounded like Black Sabbath yet how unique their sound was also.This is a truly great band.
His vocals on the nightfall album were amazing, no one... not even himself, seems to be able to equal that achievement. Sure there is Geoff Tate, but thats a different less operatic style.
And here is what I lost in 89 when they cancelled the concert they had as King Diamond´s opening band ...I still like to convince myself that the latter sure made up for it .
whooa there steve vai is awesome too alrighht? hsahaha steve rips through the atmospehre but nah the guitarist for candlemass i forgot his name is indeed awesome every song and i mean every song has an awesome solo. like jesus man! haha
