I’ve been testing this wax with scoopable/squeezable wax melts. So far, it’s been great. I did get zero hot throw on the 1st and 2nd day(which was expected) on the 3rd day though it completely filled my joining kitchen and living room area. I’m hoping it’ll be even stronger over the next few days.

Would CS ever consider adding other wick series such as CDN and HSP? These both work good with this wax.

No immediate plans just yet but we are always testing out new and different types of wicks so the line will likely expand!

❤can this mix with mp117? Or 6046? What CAN this mix with for melts? Why did you add soy to this wax instead of palm or hemp?
@candlescience
@candlescience 11 дней назад
It can be blended with many other waxes and you can definitely experiment! Beeswax or a harder wax may work blended in for melts but it may be easier to use a was designed for pillars and melts. Soy was chosen for it's performance and ease of use. Palm has sustainability issues and hemp can be tricky and more expensive to source.

I only use coconut apricot wax. I am glad you are carrying it now. If CandleScience would start carrying wood wicks my life would be complete, lol.

No plans to carry them yet but I can't say never!

What temperature do you recommend heating this wax til before you pour?
@candlescience
@candlescience 10 дней назад
If you plan on adding fragrance oil or essential oil, we'd recommend heating the wax to 185F and the mixing in the scent. The recommended pouring temp of this wax is around 170F.

I tried this wax with the recommended LX wicks and they didn't work for me. The candles didn't reach a full melting pool. Do you have any recommendations for this?

Are we supposed to wick down with this wax, do you find that it burns faster? And will you ever carry CDN wicks? That would make candle science the only one place to get everything you could need lol

❤is this wax skin safe?
@candlescience
@candlescience 12 дней назад
Based on the ingredients, it is likely skin safe but we did not design or test it for that so we can't say for sure. It is not certified for cosmetic use.

😊are there equal amounts of each of the wax?
@candlescience
@candlescience 12 дней назад
There is definitely more plant-based wax in this blend but the exact amounts and ratios are proprietary.

Wow, I was hoping this didn’t have paraffin wax in it😢 is there an alternative? Will you ever make this without paraffin. Health issues.
@candlescience
@candlescience 7 дней назад
Many coconut/apricot blends on the market will have some amount of paraffin wax in the blend to help stabilize it but there may be some on the market that use only soy! I'm so sorry that I don't have an exact replacement to offer, but if you'd like to try a coconut/soy blend wax, I'd suggest the 454 wax: www.candlescience.com/wax/golden-brands-454-coconut-soy-wax/

Can we still say our candles are paraffin free because of the tiny food grade amount in the wax.
@candlescience
@candlescience 12 дней назад
If you will be using a wax with any amount of paraffin in it, it may be misleading to customers to say that there is none at all in your candles.
@tinadepew1930
@tinadepew1930 7 дней назад
@@candlescience I agree. The company that I was using for Coconut Apricot wax lists the amount of paraffin as a food grade amount. It that the case with yours or does it have a little more?

So, another video of you not showing how to actually use it. Very annoying, I have these bags sitting in my room and idk how to go about using them.
@candlescience
@candlescience 6 дней назад
I can definitely get some video content out about using the wax bag! In the meantime though, the instructions are printed on the bag and it can be used in the microwave or in a double boiler. Whichever is easier for you!
