Very interested in this Cuban cane art! I’m going to be 68 in May so I fall into your average. I struggle a bit with the heavier canes. I make canes and sticks as a hobby.
Thank you for infoming Mark Thomas! Your feedback is valuable in moving forward with content on the topic. Thus far, the feedback has been 100% positive and in favor of learning more. The founder of Sobrevivencia, Maestro Ruiz is 68 himself. Out of necessity he created an art that takes the younger, stronger, faster factor out of the equation and he devlepoed a method for being effective with anything you have in hand including empty hands if nothing else. Stay tuned!
Thank you for commenting @Swede-js9jq! Like anything worth learning, it requires training, not necessarily intensive, but smart and consistent. Principles are readily applicable in a variety of areas. Here's a group open to the public:facebook.com/groups/cubanmartialart/ - Thank you for following, Stay Safe!
Thank you for commenting Tx Tactical! That's correct- ACSD Cane Immersions have always been limited to a 6:1 ratio of Caner to Coach for the best experience. You're absolutley right, no sense in "trying" to attend...if you're serious don't "try", just enroll and snag your spot. While you're "trying", others are enrolling and you'll be relegated to reading the post event report. Happens every year. You know how it goes: Some make it happen, others ask what happened, yet others wonder what happened. - Keep Canin', Stay Safe!
