Highlighting the defensive skills of Canelo ahead of his mega fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr LIVE on HBO Boxing at T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Presented by Golden Boy Promotions.
Not really. He's been improving his defense for years. Has nothing to do with the Mayweather fight. What's improved is that he is no longer emulating Mayweather in the ring. He was doing that for years but that changed GGG 2 and against Jacobs. It's clear as day he studied Mayweather, but his defense has nothing to do with the fight.
He's pure textbook with improv at times just beautiful. You can tell the difference between trained fighters that listen to their coaches and guys that rely on whatever little talent they have instead of fundamentals. Perfect example Prince Naseem vs Barerra. Canelo loves and respects his coaches so he listens and learns. Another example Mikey Garcia or Erik Morales, Pacman, etc. Canelo is on that level
Si el nunca hubiera perdido con Mayweather, jamas hubiera aprendido a mejorar su defensa porque gracias a esa derrota aprendio que no solo era tirar golpes a lo wey...
Love the video and the music. Nice!! 10 thumbs up! Like the shaded glasses at the end of the video. It looks like Canelo had a smirk on his face after missing Trout's multiple punches. LOL
Gotta love how one minded sometimes people are, in a lot of fights canelo will stop throwing punches and let his oppenent get the rythm, he then corners himself in the ropes and lets them swing for the fences and uses the ropes to play amazing defense. probably to catch his breath or make them lose theirs either way amazing fighter
@@jebjeb7167 well you make it seem like he lost to a nobody btw sugar shame and Oscar also lost to him that doesn't mean theure not good btw he beat a 36 year old and 34 years boxers when they were on the decline that's not an excuse it's the truth.
The guy has skills. Everyone wants to be a hater though. It's silly because he probably chops up the entire 160 division, he just has to do it... #teamcanelo the boy got skills dont lie to yourself lol. imo he can walk Golovkin down if he wanted, Golovkin being humiliated? ofcourse but he probably could hurt him too, maybe stop him. 11 rounds.
Under The Influence Nate and he ended up with 3 or the major belts and at middleweight along with being the ring champ after beating triple g. Let’s see how well he does against Jacobs.
I'm sick with pneumonia but so keen to get back to the gym and practice. I'm no professional or amateur boxer but I like to train and watching a cat like Canelo Alvarez is plenty of motivation.
when he wants a breather or is being lazy he let's himself get hit specially jabs, I believe if he really didn't want to get hit he wouldn't, except for the faster fighters he s faced like lara mayweather and Khan , he'll get hit regardless by those type of fast hands but he's already up there speacally mentally he believes he is the best how mayweather felt in his prime ,that he'll find a way too near those fast fighters, but up in middleweight he s the fast one ,and smart he s a legend in the making canelo s dangerous even tho everybody want to fight him I think all them other fighters close to his weight know they'll get beat but they'll risk it for the money and recognition that they faced canelo, even though canelo lost to mayweather it don't look bad cause it was against mayweather , just facing an opponent that caliber gives you respect n experience but if u beat him even better.
@its yeshau not jesus he was the aggressor the whole fight Canelo's highlights are just more impressive that's why he left the ring pissed off no fighter get so pissed off after a decision if you really get dominated (only AB)
Es que lo que muchos odian de canelo es que es bien presumido, no solo abajo del ring, si no también arriba, si notan muchos de sus oponentes están cansado y ya están a un round de mimir
I grew up kinda like canelo in the way that my parents are from Mexico and I'm born white complected with almost orange hair but more light brown but my facial hair is def red, n I grew up in Tucson az, n grew up was that thug era I grew up in a Hispanic/black neiborhood ,I was the only white mexican there n I would get clowned on a lot I hated it most of my kid to end of teenage years but then I saw canelo fight and bow great he was and how he embraced his complextion, even tho he was Mexican and now I love it, I love how different I am . thanks too canelo, I'm a guero , and proud of it, I love my country USA and my roots mexico.
There is footage here of Canelo before he faced off against Mayweather (like against Trout). Say what you want about Mayweather (I am a neutral boxing fan), but it speaks volumes about his mastery of the boxing craft. Canelo looked like absolute shit against him.
