That's what real sparring looks like. You dont get there to knock anyone out. That particular video he is working his defense while a the same time making a fellow teammate work hard
@@404GamingCrew that theyre retarded and lazy and let their women hunt for them lol and they kill cubs to become king,, and theyre tan like a man from india lol
@Edwin Agramontewhy does canelo name come up with duck when his resume is one of the best today hands down easily lara Mayweather Cotto Mosley Jacob's ggg trout Khan say what u want most boxers are fighting smaller boxers or nobodies
I love how Canelo is dedicated to working on the thing he planned to work on and not deviating from that when he got hit. It's pretty clear that he's trying to work on fighting off the ropes here and he didn't even try to get off the ropes even though he could've. He just stayed there and tried all his defensive and offensive tricks because he knows that in a championship fight, he's eventually going to be in this position and he's facing that in camp before he does under the lights. That's a consumate pro right here. This isn't someone trying to zake advantage of his popularity to make money. This is someone who just wants to be the best he can be and that's why i'm a huge fan!
Your awesome alot of mexicans in mexico really dont and if you ask yourself why were there 400.000 fans is because were the majority in mexico and jalisco has the majority of immigrants in the usa but also with talent not just migrating or hating just another level
@@lgilles7 there is nothing new, but Canelo makes people miss like never before and he is disciplined. Each fighter has that responsibility and not everyone fighter has it in them to be disciplined. Go Canelo! Enjoy him while he is still fighting. May God protect both fighters tomorrow!
And he is a class A dude. He reminds me of how Andre Ward. Sometimes I read so racist crap on here between the Mayans, Aztecs, and the Incas, and the Nubians. All of the colonized by Spaniards who are Europeans. The same ones that had Nubians chains were slaughtering those beautiful people in the Americas. Us building that kind of hatred for each other is not only counter productively. It’s stupid.
I like how Canelo stays against the ropes on defensive for most of his sparring and in pro fights, he’s normally aggressive so it’s good he doesn’t limit his boxing abilities
What's exciting about Canelo is he just keeps improving & diversifying his style. Probably the most diverse boxer of this era as his adaption of both hands / stances fully matured. True artist.
Canelo was overwhelmed thats why he wasn't throwing... It's not rocket science.. Helloooooo. jajaja. Its incredible seeing the ridiculous excuses people make to defend their fanatic obsession.
@@joseplancarte9723 bro you serious? It’s obvious canelo was focusing on defense while helping valdez with offense. Canelo could’ve easily gotten off the ropes. He’s gone through worse in real fights. No way he was “overwhelmed”.
@trufiend138 you're an idiot. Canelo doesn't want to give just anyone a big payday. If he doesn't like you, he wont fight you period. He's going after challenges not clown fighter that cry when and if they lose. He doesn't want to give just anyone that easy pay day.
@Gulagsports US Mex yes middleweights his natural weight class he even said last year he can still make 154 but his ability let's him get away with it. His 1rst 40 fights were at welter n below even
Don't care what anyone says... this Ted haird dude is a true Gentleman to his coboxers. Treats them with true respect. In his own mind, just like he's teaching them,he is also learning from them.
Love 8 Hate he comes extremely low with the left hook pretending that it’s gonna be a power body shot but then last second he turns it into a hook to the head. Doing that is extremely difficult Oscar Valdez didn’t do it exactly like Canelo but he used his same trick you need fast reaction time and reflexes for this one it’s not easy trust
Yup saw that too. Was a good move by Valdez. This sparring session was probably more Valdez working on his offense and trying to work in punches and Canelo working on his defense and slipping/blocking punches. He does it again around 1:15 to a different sparring partner.
ey me too,, seriously,, he was zoning,, and thats why i think Ryan will be great,, well not just because of that goofy ass look he had on but i think its a good sign lol
He only looked good cause canelo wasn't counterpunching. If he'd been hit with a few hard hitting Canelo punches, he wouldn't have looked as confident as he did In this clip. Canelo was essentially toying with him.
I love Canelo and think he has underrated defense but are we all watching the same video? He got hit cleanly a LOT in this video... more than I've seen him get hit in actual fights.
Yep the hand speed was too fast from Valdez against the ropes, a bit like Canelo in the Khan fight in the middle of the ring when Khan's hand speed was still rapid, but Khan did not have the power to make Canelo even care
I get that Canelo wasn't fighting back, I just expected a more impressive display of head movement based on the title of the video. Like I said i saw Canelo display better head movement and defense in ACTUAL fights. Kovalev couldn't touch him from what I remember. Me and my crew have long been impressed by how much Canelo had improved his defensive game after losing to Mayweather... for me it was just a matter of the video being oversold for clicks. I dig Canelo and pick him to win against most anybody. Would love to see him fight Charlo or Andrade though.
It’s only sparring, you’re allowed to get caught if you’re trying out different things. Valdez is a lot smaller then Alvarez, so it’s ideal to practice defence, because if he gets hit he isn’t going to get hurt.
@@DanTcoRdz That would be a fun spar to watch as well. Canelo probably walks around close to 200lbs anyway so if he's not in camp for a fight at 168 then he could probably spar Ruiz for a few rounds, obviously Ruiz would pull his punches a bit like Canelo is doing with Valdez but why not
@@richardcastaway7683 Oscar De La Hoya has said in the past Canelo walks about around 190lbs....and I've seen him heavier than that before a few years ago, he is't tall but he is stocky www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=813965#:~:text=Canelo%20walks%20around%20at%20190,De%20La%20Hoya%20%2D%20Boxing%20Forum
Very skilled but Mayweathers defense is still better in my opinion but I don’t like how everyone is comparing Canelo to Mayweather it’s annoying they are both highly skilled slick boxers why can’t they just be slick boxers
Mufasa Bin-Laden all I said if I think Mayweathers defense is better but still it’s annoying how everyone is saying Canelo fights like floyd they are both defensive fighters
@GalaxyZ wrong again. It's whoever fought FLOYD got paid..Canelo/golden boy ripping everyone off just like they did Jacobs. golden boy paid Jacobs 2 million while dazn paid off the other 10 million 😲 D-Chenko got only 2 mill less to scrap with Jermall than golden boy was offering D-Chenko 😲 golden boy got you hoodwinked 😂
Was this supposed to be an example of Canelo McDucks skill? You are bragging on that clown dipping half speed/power punches is this serious? That ginger mother ducker is a hypejob
That’s the way canelo letting Valdez throw his punches as he shows him how to do it against someone with so much movement like shakur has good training great team💯👊🏼
U ll eventually get hit if u let someone attack endelessly , if u not throwing hard counters u ll be there to get hit a couple of times even if u r the bes tdefensive fighter in the world
He did but that’s cause he was solely practicing defense without throwing back so of course dude is gonna hit him a few times if it’s just all one way punches against the ropes.
Nothing is more demoralizing than not being able to connect with anything and getting hit at the same time. Awesome to see Canelo be able to add this to his game. Not sure how he gets beat when this defensive skillset getting this advanced.
