You have a point in regards to his beats. However, what we need to remember is that Bus is a hardcore rhymer at the core. He isn't that commercialised in that pliable beat sense. Therefore, the focus is intended to be primarily on his lyrics first and less on the music expansion. It's true poetry he uses, actually, isn't it, along with deep science. Canibus is fully aware of the beats that he chooses, and yes, it isn't what the masses will often regard as being dimensional. That being said, has it really been about what the masses wanted to hear? or has it really been about what Canibus wanted to write that is revolutionary for the dedicated hardcore listener to hear. When you think of what the masses follow, it's only what they want to hear musically in accordance with what most other things out there are sounding like. It doesn't really encompass what an expert rhymer is intentionally choosing to write to with regard to not being heavily musically driven but more lyrically driven. I think the deeper mcs out there who are hardcore either with science, eduated flows, and skill set like Immortal Tech,Sir menelik aka scaramanga, Godfather Don, Diabolic etc. They don't have a tenancy to always go for fancy beats that interchange that much.
