A gent in my local park use to train with at least 4 harnessed Huskies for competitions. Rather impressive speed session with no warm up, as soon as he said go the dogs would just take off!
I have attempted canicross, I am NOT fast enough or strong enough lol. I did a mile with my dog and I was barely able to stay on my feet. Mad respect to the canicross people.
I ran 2 miles with my dog this morning and he sprints the first quarter mile and then slowls down and by the end hes basically walking. My dog doesn't know how to pace him self.
Id love to do this with my XL bully with the stupid bans I'm looking for activities we can do with him leashed and muzzled that he would enjoy and would replace his games of fetch and sniffing around as he has to be leashed and muzzled human paced walks on leash and muzzle with no play or sniffing are miserable for him he hates them. I couldn't do very much running with him as he can't drink or pant and will over heat in his type of muzzle so it would be short runs close to home but I think he would love it
Hi Simon, it's all non stop dog wear stuff. Specific harness is free motion harness (amazon affiliate links below): amzn.to/3s2WK9c amzn.to/3hUZMbc Here's the non-stop website: www.non-stopdogwear.co.uk/canicross Canicross is fantastic. If you're thinking of getting started, I highly recommend it. You'll have a blast!
