Went to the store to buy a p365x because I was tired of waiting for one of these to be in stock and when I got there they had one mc9 black without red dot and one with. I bought the one with the mecanik red dot. I love it. The gun is awesome and their red dot is awesome.
Just bought mine yesterday. Of course in Hawaii I have to wait 2 weeks to pick it up even though I'm already checked out and verified to purchase. Very excited to have this gun.
Canik service has been great on my MC9.I had failure to feed failure to go into battery. Canik replaced recoil spring polished feed ramp. When gun retured I have failure to feed only with 15rd mag. Canik asked me to return the mag for testing. I tested mag in other MC9 same problem with my mag in other guns.So probably a mag issue. Now I'm getting a dead trigger failur to reset trigger on recoil. Probably firing pin spring issue so back to Canik. All these issues have been reported on othe channels.Canik has had some quality issues.But Century arms has been easy to work with which is important.
Canik is sending me a brand new gun hopefully this one works. The first one I sent in they polished feed ramp and new recoil spring and had battery issues and FMJ + hallow points jamming on feed ramp after they “fixed” it 650 rounds and nothing changed. I hope canik sends me a proper gun
Been waiting for your channel to review this. So far so good, but its a bit un-Canik like that this model has a little more issues than any other Canik that has come out so far. I mean most people have had zero issues whatsoever. Canik's line of pistols are generally amazing across the board.
My MC9 was trash. They’re also having issues with the Canik Rival S. I was wanting to really like this gun because it was accurate and has a sweet trigger.
Agreed, the elite sc is more of a compact than a sun compact. That being said, it’s slightly smaller than a Glock 19 but the trigger on mine is unreal. It’s a competition trigger in a carry pistol. Where my mc9 is definitely a carry trigger. I have to say the elite sc is much more accurate and to be honest I HIGHLY recommend getting the MeCanik MO1 red dot too. I have two and I adore them. Its auto brightness perfected.
I am glad I subscribed to your channel almost every gun i want u have it on your channel. I was torn between this and the Reflex. The Reflex is 100 more but i want to ask is this a better choice?
My MC9 was trash. Sent it to Canik and they didn’t fix it. Broached the mag well to help the mags drop but after shooting 100 rounds they started sticking again. Had several FTF’s and FTE’s with failure to go into battery. Couldn’t trust it so I sold it and got the FN Reflex
@@petergarcia8615 The FN is a good gun but it can be a dangerous gun due to the short take up. Traded it for a Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS. I don't plan on leaving Glocks after all the bad luck I've had with other brands.
Not even close..Glock would still need metal sights, more grip texture, extension on mag and slide release and metal guide rods to just begin competing with top polymer striker fire pistols of today. And their MOS system is horrible with those plates that keep braking. Everything is a project with a Glock. Exhausting to watch. Just buy an H&K, Walther or S&W M&P or a CZ P series or nowadays even a Canik Revel….Glock was left in the dust.
@@danielrodriguez5463 Im always astounded at the amount of money Glock owners put into aftermarket parts. The total spent could buy you a freaking Staccato. And the end product still isnt as good as a out of the box, Walther, HK, CZ or Canik.
I gave up my glocks they do absolutely nothing to be innovative. I purchased this handgun it's incredible. All magazines for that manufacturer work and either weapon and I found a place that makes the new footplates so everything looks seamless.
As a first time gun owner who wants a compact, home defense gun that's fun to shoot would you recommend this subject gun or Smith and Wesson Equalizer, or Ruger security 380? Thank you for your input!
How come the barrel and slide doesn't have serial numbers on them?! My canik tp9 elite sc has it on all 3 pieces!? I also own the mete mc9 I always thought that was odd?!
Unfortunately Canik has dropped the ball on this one. In my area these are not available. You’d think that Canik would have been better prepared to meet the demand this pistol has created, but they are not. Could be they didn’t expect the extreme demand or they are doing this so to raise the price later this year. Either way I wont be getting one any time soon because of the lack of supply and if the price goes up drastically, I wont get one at all.
Have you bought one since this post was from about 10 months ago? They do sell out fast. I bought mine in Jan 24 and yes, they do sell quickly but the store I bought from had new pistols in a week later. Canik sells their guns through Century Arms from Vermont. Like most arms makers, they make a certain amount of new models to see how the sells go. Plus it depends on your local stores and how many guns they stock. I'm sure Century Arms as well as your local gun stores were caught off guard on how successful and fast the pistol took off, especially for the price. I sure love mine and picked mine up for 399 out the door. Good luck.
I don't have a "TP9". I have a "VP9". Total cost of ownership over the lifetime of the gun isn't that much more. I'd rather invest in guns made by great innovators than great copiers. Canik is great at ripping off Walthers and Hk's. I have both the VP9 and the PDP. Great guns. One of my favorite carry's is the P30sk I got used for $425. I prefer DA/SA for carry than somethi g with a 4 lbs first pull. It shoots like a full sized gun and it utterly reliable and ergonomic and copied nobody.
Your kidding yourself if you think your VP9 is just so much better than a Canik and if it's a PDP-VP9-P320 they are all basically a Glock 19-17 copy if you want to be real about it l have SIGs and Walthers and my Caniks are just as good while costing hundreds less H&K is no better your paying for the name and prestige go to a handgun shooting competition you'd be surprised how many are running Caniks
So is smith. Just ask their attorneys and bankers. Not a big glock fan. Yes i know there is more to a glock than the trigger. So a side by side comparison of glock and other polymer guns. All consist of barrel, slide, lower frame and fire control mechanism. Pretty much all the same. Big name doesnt always equate to quality firearm
