Hope you went through with that purchase i bought one a few weeks back put 100 rounds through & I’m absolutely in love my friend has a mete & the standard tp9sf i find little to no difference between all 3 as far as accuracy great gun for concealment yet not too small to be a range gun
@@seanhanley2036 I am just waiting on a bonus check to come through. I had also waited until ammo prices had come down. I had tried to shop for some 6 months ago and couldn't even find any. Thank goodness that is over. thanks for the encouragement!
Because they are not made by CANIK, you just said it, Aftermarket. They are made by TAYLOR FREELANCE and can be found at this link, taylorfreelancestore.com/canik/mag-extensions/
@@gunsrus777 Thats why i also said MAGS, because im talking about MAGS from Canik for Canik firearms. I dont give a shit about expensive overpriced Taylor Freelance whom charges as much as an entirely brand new Mag, just for a damn glorified floor plate, and they only allow unprotected credit card transactions, no paypal, like wtf? The canik rep will lie and say "couple wks and they should be back in stock", meanwhile i check back weekly for 9 mths and ziltch. Id sure like to know who you sucked off to get those. Shitty company..
Thanks for the review. I have a burnt bronze version in route to me now. Ordered a Holosun HE507K green dot as well. Nice modifications you’ve got there.
I have 2 of them, the tp9sfx, with a holosun 507c ,the elite sub compact , (no optic on the elite sc.Yet) but I find them to be one of the best handguns on the market to date.
I have received this one last week it till a month to ship out, but is really nice you can other customized in colors and with the option of the Olight Valkyrie mini or the Baldr mini. www.ebay.com/itm/Canik-TP9-Elite-SC-IWB-Holster-Dual-Layer-Build-Your-Own-/164398381815?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
SFX are great, great guns. But yes is a big one to conceal unless wintertime with a jacket. The SC is a great choice and you have that great trigger still, lots of aftermarket and if you go for the red dot get the Holosun micro, not saying the sig dot is bad just the Holosun is better.
Grabbed one yesterday traded in my Springfield xd mod2 4 inch barrel got $173 which helped me pull the trigger. I pick this bad firl up on monday. Can not wait. Love the feel in my hanfs and the trigger. Already purchase a kydex and the enigma os holster.
Eveyone that’s tryna get this bc it’s compact I’d recommend you guys take a look at the mete mci same mags and everything but smaller and sleeker. This one is a bit clunky. Take if from me I have both. Both are great but the mete is micro
@@carloschevere9335 it’s the same mags compatibility. I’d know I’m using either of them for each other, sure it’s not a flush fit but it’s better than not having mags that can’t fit the same firearm.
Just bought one recently will take it out soon only thing I done was change the back strap fits like a glove took me 8 yearsand 12 guns later to find gun that fits and this is the one that fits me best
I guess mine is stubborn I gave in and took it to my local gunsmith if he's going to fix it for me. Definitely looking for it again thank you for responding keep up the videos my brother
I was looking at those at OpticPlanet.com at a great price. I like the look but some were leaving a bad review. Im looking to swap mine with a Holosun 407k green dot 6 MOA, I have the same one mounted in my CZ P10F, great optic. Thanks for watching, please subscribe.
too funny. I have the tungsten grey Elite SC and my TP9SFX is stormtrooper white frame with black slide. I never thought about changing the triggers because they are already soooo good haha. Did you use the optic plate for your red dot or did you mount directly to the slide? I can't tell from the vid.
He’s got the plate on there. If you’re getting one and planning to add an optic I’d advise using the plate because it has detents that will help keep the optics in position. Don’t worry too much about it being plastic. If you Mount it right it’ll be fine.
I do have the plate, I will removed and check because I have a question myself. I get it the plate have the detents, but some plates don’t have detents to the slide, so in other words the plate is useless if the plate is mounted to the slide and still move. Unless the slide is a perfect cut for the optic length. If you are using torx screws the optic wont move, the head of the screw is in a cone shape so wen you thigh the screw the cone shape makes pressure adjusting to the size of the optic hole, and thats why it wont move
Do you know how to tell which is the latest combat executive canik. Is there a serial number or new name. Also, whn was the latest release. Will be great to know.
It is for the 18rd mag. I have a Canik TP9SFX, I have ordered for the 18rd mag. But before I had tried in the 12rd and it worked perfect. Only mod you have to do is cut a couple of coils from the spring because is made for the 18rd. I dont remember how many I have cut, but you can start from the bottom with two, put it together and add the ammo if fits 27 you good. Make sure there is space for 28 very tight, meaning hard to put the 28rd and then removed so you have 27 left. The reason is to have some space to compress when you insert the magazine.
You don’t need to tap it but yes there is definitely lil more tension that the original mag and that is due to the spring tension inside the mag and the mount of rounds that gets push down when the mag is inserted in the pistol. Means there is more pressure when the round hits the ramp under the slide when inserted, that happen when that last round is thigh, if you remove that one last round for a total of 20 and not 21, the mag will not need to be forced at all. I have tested myself, hope that answer your question. That happen with most of the mag extensions they are rated 4-5 for example, and that fifth round fit but tight.
so i see on taylor freelance it says it’s for 18 or 20 round mags. didnt you put yours on your 12 rd mag? or is that a 15rd mag? want to order this but i want to make sure
Is for the 18rd and I initially ordered for my SFX but try it to see if work and it works perfect. But in the 12 round in addition to that you will have to cut couple of coils in the spring that come with the taylor extension, because remember that spring is for longer mag, please dont go to crazy cutting coils, I would cut 2 and put it tougher, if doesn’t fit 21 take it off and cut an additional coil. Please let me know how many coils you end up cutting, becuae I dont remember and to put it out for the next person asking, thanks in advance.
Do you have the +9 extension on the 15 round magazine? And did it come with the mag spring for the 15 round mag? All I saw on taylor freelance was the +9 for the 18 round magazine. Wasn't sure if the spring that came with it would work on the 15 round mag...
I must say that she is beautiful. Out of curiosity are those magazine extensions compatible with all of canik’s magazines(10, round, 12 round, 15 round, etc)?
Most of them but not sure if they will fit all. I believe the 10rds are limited, I think they have a piece to block the mag since is a mag restricted for those states that are restricted to 10rds only.
This gun is so nasty. Just pick mine up Monday. Put 200 rounds through it same day. I ordered the brass TF back strap in black to hopefully balance it out a little better. So hard to rack though. Did you get the reduced spring?
It is, no i haven’t got the recoil spring yet. Remove the magazine and lock the slide to the rear when not in use. That will reduce the tension in the spring.
Great review. This will prob be my next firearm. I'd love to get the SFX Rival, but I need a good carry & the TP9 Elite SC doesn't seem to have any competition for the price.
Awesome gun for sure. Be aware it is BIG for a subcompact! Way bigger than the shield, p365, gx4, and hellcat. But it is an awesome gun no doubt about it. Best trigger in its class
@@sliderkitz that's actually some of my appeal to it. I don't care for really small handguns. same reason I'd prefer the Hellcat Pro over the standard hellcat & this Canik is the best new gun bang for the buck I can find to date
Nothing wrong with Sar pistols. That company has been building guns longer than Canik. I want that Sar ST45. It is the same pistol as the Sar 9 but in .45 acp. Can't find one anywhere 😕. That Sar 9 is a good pistol !!!
Good morning! I read that you "clipped" springs in order for the extention to cycle properly? How much did you Clip and do you have a video showing it in action!? Thanks!
So, this +9 is made for the 18rd magazine. In this case I have tested and fit perfect to the 12rd, same concept but in a shorter mag. And thats why you have to cut your spring, not the one that comes with the 12rd mag off course. You will cut the spring that comes with the kit, the +9 extension. I have 14 coils on mine, don’t remember how many I had cut. But that will work for you.
The plus +9 already comes with the spring from Taylorfreelance. Using the 12rd spring won’t cycle. Now, that spring that comes with the +9 is made for a 18rd mag so you will have to cut a couple of turns from the spring. I don’t remember how many turns I have cut on mine but I’ll start with two and try to fit 21rds but if is to tight I’ll cut one more and then try it again. Don’t go crazy cutting turns, be patience.
I am a Canik fan. Have 2 Canik TP9 models and 1 METE SFT. I think the Elite SC is a great subcompact conceal carry pistol. You have a nice one. With that said, extending the magazine capacity totally defeats the purpose of concealment.
I have tested this extension at the range today and works flawless. I don’t recommend it for concealment but for spare mag or in the pistol while traveling on the road. I used today my most hated Olight Baldr mini laser and this thing was nailing dead center, very impressive. Not gonna lie, better that my P320 x carry.
@@gunsrus777 that makes sense. I like Olight tactical lights, I have several, but I highly recommend also to own battery operated lights, like the Streamlight, Inforce, and Crimson Trace, for the field. You cannot rely only on electricity to charge up your light. Hence, I have those 3 brands. What other Canik models do you have?
@@gunsrus777I highly recommend you the METE SFT or SFX. The METE models have the best trigger pulls for striker-fired handguns. It improves your accuracy noticeably.
It is a subcompact! Magazines doesn’t change the frame size. That’s the advantage of a subcompact vs a 17rd frame, the 17rd can’t go with less but the sub do and more. See this mags are options let’s say you traveling, I’ll go with the extended or if you carry I’ll go with the 12rd in the Gun and the 21 as a spare mag.
Hey I just bought this gun and I love it I have an optic sight on it I want to put the o-light on it but I can’t find IWB holster that has the light and sight openings Do u know of one like ur videos
If you goto century arms website and email their cs, they will send you 1 for free. Tell them you heard there was a lighter recoil spring and they will email you back and ask for the serial number and your shipping address. A guy on the canik nation group on fb told me about it the other day
Love the videos... On the Canik sc I want to add the a Romeo zero, but I couldn't get the plate off. Feels like it's has lock seal on it. Have you did an video on the install?
I did swap the spring, you have to. I used the spring that came with the extension. Now keep it in mind that the spring is made for a 18rd magazine, so that means that you may have to cut a couple of coils. I would just put the new spring and see how many rounds will fit, if it fits 21 then you dont have to cut. But i believe I had to cut two coil from the bottom, never from the top.
@@10MilliJay you can do it in the 15 rd mag but it will be a noticeable gab, because the mag floor of the 15 rd extent to the gun grip and once you remove it and place the +9 will leave that empty space. Unless you purchase a 15rd spacer for the SC.
Sometimes pay lil more goes long way. Buy it from a reliable source. Just saying. Optic planet is a very reliable source, being purchasing from them for years.
Now that you mentioned, yes. I dont use it that much, but i see some black spots under the gray wearing out. Maybe the coating is not that good. Time for a nice custom cerakote.
@@gunsrus777 Thanks for getting back. Been debating on getting this or the cz omega. My biggest thing I’m concerned about is the coating coming off. Canik has a new version of this already cerakoted, that’s the one I was thinking about getting. My friend has the bigger Canik, and their is tremendous signs of wear. Then also I’m not trying to spend crazy money on another firearm. I already have 2. Smh
I hooked up my tp9sfx with the Tlr 9 and vortex venom 3MOA after I watched your video of your full size, it looks really good. Just need to get me a mag well and charging handle from TF. My gun is the sniper gray.
