Canik vs SAR USA Pistols 

IMO from firing both - Canik has better trigger and is snappy. Sar-9 = better ergos and softer shooter. Both look good. I prefer the Sar9 over Canik.

Having only been on the market for a short time, the Canik is already among the best pistols. Wait a little longer and you will see the impact this brand will have on the weapons market. Canik has perfect pistols.

I have a canik mc9 and I can definitely relate to the shooting experience. Might go get a SAR to replace it as my EDC.

Sar doesn't have the clout that Canik has but they are great dependable pistols after the break in period.

Good video and comparison. Matt shooting pistol is interesting and think some of his recoil control is a better grip with his support hand. But great to get his point of view coming in as a less experienced pistol shooter. Jason is spot on, trigger is one of my things as well, give me a good trigger and I can deal with most of the rest. Honestly though I have no comparison as I have shot all the Caniks but the Rival-S and not had a chance to shoot the SARs as you just do not see them where I am at. Would love a chance to shoot the sub-compact to compare to the MC-9 as I have 2 of them and shoot them well. And Jason, change out the trigger on the MC9 to a Fat Daddy or Fat Daddy 2 from Freedomsmith and it makes a big difference, at least to me.

Having pretty much every single one of these weapons in my arsenal plus some models of each one they didn’t show you, both, and I do mean both manufacturers have come a long way in a short time and both companies can hang with any pistol out there made by any company, period.

Why is Matts thumb on his dominant hand off of the pistol outside of his support thumb. Thats not a grip its a slip.

Had a canik tp9 sf elite i traded my glock in for and took it out once was really impressed. Traded that in for a sar9 gen3 and love it more already and havnt even fired it yet

I have 3 Sar pistols and 1 Canik to me all 4 work great all have different features & ergonomics .ore guns the better .

Did the scoring board not count correctly? In the 3rd round you gave canik a point even though they split. If it's a point each shooter then the start of 3rd round should of had Sar up 4-0. Nice to see at the end you shout out the individual scores

Canik takes a lot more to break in. Once it's broke in, it shoots quite a bit different.

Got the Canik TTI Combat and took it to the range with a friend and we loved it!! While we were there the range officer said they just got one in and put out for sale. I told my buddy to get it, he looked at it and came back and said he would see if he could find it cheaper ( it was 1050$ with the mecanik red dot ) . I told him to watch the lane and ran out and grabbed it before anyone else noticed it. Now I have 2!!!! Later that night he went online and couldn't find it in stock anywhere. I laughed and told him sorry about your luck :P My first one was 999$ from Classic (thanks guys). The second one I bought from the range was probably not marked correctly at 1050$ with the red dot. Win for me .

Sar vs canik I choose s&w lol jk I love all guns but carry a shield plus because I think the grips are thin and flimsy on the canik micro compacts. Also sorry to say but when it comes to full size guns I won't carry them so I'm out on polymer frame 9mms and I choose 1911s in 10mm and 45 acp. Thanks all for the great work

I have a Canik TP9 Combat Elite and a SAR 9 compact Gen3, and I love both.

Jason is a quiet giant. As soon as the gun is in hand, he assumes oneness and he and the gun become one force multiplier!! Good shooting fellas!!

Canik for sure, and the rival trigger can be put in any model. I have the rival trigger in my MC9 and it's phenomenal.

Recently shot that gen 3 Sar 9C. I love Caniks but SARS feel so damn flat when you’re shooting. However they make their pistols, they did a great job 😂

The 2nd comparison would've been better with the METE SFT and not the bottom of the Canik barrel SF model.

SAR...because Canik doesn't make a doublestack 45 that can compare to SAR's K245.

Out of box canik takes it, but sarsilmaz has very well built handguns for their price point, I'm a personal fan of their p8L . Sar recommends 200 to 500 round break in period for their barrels, they have one of the hardest barrels in the industry. For 600$ they offer all metal lifetime guns... not a lot of other folks doing that in semi auto high capacity. Also canik in my opinion has the best package as far as in box presentation, they give you everything but ammo for less than a basic glock 19 price.

I own a SAR USA B6 semi auto pistol and I love it. I had been in the market for a hammer fire pistol for a while and the price was right for under $400 when I bought it at Dunhams a couple years ago. Full size pistol for less than the original CZ75 it was copied from just can't beat it and it yeets the brass a good distance behind me.

I own a sar USA and my wife owns a Canik. We both love both firearms. We love the Dual sided rail release on The Canik. Other than that to me the Sar USA is a little bit better when it comes to handling of different types of ammunition. Because we both noticed when we were at the range using the training ammunition if you will the cheap ammunition the Canik had a higher Jam rate then the Sar USA. Other than that they are very close we both own a I believe it's the 4-in model so again over all they are very close, they're very good it's just that one issue that we notice.

Great Video. I’ve been a Canik shooter for a very long time and have a few. However, I have heard of SAR pistols and just recently picked one up in 45ACP (SAR K2 45C). Fell in love with it. It’s very well balanced and can shoot lights out. I just ordered an SAR P8L this past week (before seeing this video) and it arrives tomorrow. Looking to see how it compares to my Canik Elite Combat (my favorite).

The Sar K12 is a Tanfoglio clone. Tanfoglio copied the CZ 75 during the Cold War and developed it separately over the years, eventually producing very popular and successful competition guns. CZ returned the favor w/ the Shadow and Tactical Sports guns.

I'll bet those HK p30/vp9 grips did feel good on the SAR😂

Canik for the win, better trigger by far and many more models to select from, only thing Sar wins in feel in the hand, i like the finger grooves,and 45 acp, Canik doesn't make one. i have 2 sars sar-9 k245c, i own 3 caniks, tp9sfx, tp9sf, tp9sf elite, and also a tristar (canik) T-120 which is my favorite pistol i own, so I say Canik Wins

The SAR glazing is crazy

Recoil rod/spring design has an impact on recoil impulse. The standard SAR9 has a two-spring design like the XP series and halfway to the DPM aftermarket systems. If you don't mind adding $100 to the cost of the Canik, you can probably get the recoil to feel equal or better.

I have the Sar Socom non-threaded Barrel black and it's been excellent no issues at all and very accurate and comfortable to shoot. I would highly recommend this pistol especially at the price point and what it comes with..💯

I carry the Sar 9 SC Gen2 having bought the Dagger Micro 3 weeks prior to getting the Sar 9 SC Gen 2. I can honestly say I haven't carried or used the Dagger Micro sense. I also like the fact that the Gen2 can take the SAR9 full size mags (17) rounds.

Add the Galloway Precision spring kit to the K12 and you'll pick it over everything!

Great video guys, Canik is more popular but Sar is a natural shooter. You can pick up a Sar 9 and just shoot well because it's ergos are almost perfect. I have owned both and I prefer my Sar 9 Gen 1, if I wanted to just grab and shoot without thinking about it, also it has been 100 percent reliable.

love many models of both brands BUT sars have next to no support. Finding grips, holsters, etc is a chore

So is there any difference between all the Sar gen 3 and Socom triggers? I think I read somewhere the Socom has a lighter trigger pull?

Maybe we need a SAR usa TTI collaboration, or maybe Sar just needs to make a competitor to the tti combat.

I just picked up a Canik METE MC9 today and I love it no REGURTS!!!

I own a Rival and SAR 9X Gen 2. Canik def has better trigger (90 degrees break, flat face and shorter reset), but better texture, ergos on SAR. I say get one of each!😊 Also, it's 2024, so why wouldn't you get a pistol with a STANDARD optic plate. No company should be charging extra for this. You should have the option to go irons, or Red, or both and it should be included in the price.

Eventually "pulled the trigger" and purchased the SF with the M01 optic. Shoots exceptionally well, sight and trigger lives up to its raved reviews. The included add on aluminium mag well is a little too tight for my pinky after a mag or 2. The SF has been over shadowed by the larger Rival and larger range only models, this is a Great range and carry pistol in the Glock 19 size range (better sights, barrel, trigger) Holster availability with my baldr mini laser/light attachment limited for home defense (inclip this for daily carry)
