Picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. Took it home, lubed the shit out of like I was Diddy, put it back together and sat on my couch just racking that slide for a good 20 minutes. It got smoother and smoother towards the end. Took it to the range with some 124g blazer ammo. Put about 300 rounds through it with absolutely ZERO hiccups or malfunctions. I may be stating the obvious but you guys need to lube this thing up properly and rack that slide for a bit to get it loosened up. Hope it works out for anyone having issues because this gun is an absolute PLEASURE to shoot and it looks damn good too. Cheers

Mine was a SHIT SHOW to start out with. I got mine about 6 weeks ago. First mag 4 failure to feeds and 2 light primer strikes. Keep powering through the first 200 rounds. And it got better and better, in total the first 200 rounds. I had 15-20 Failure to feeds and 10 light primer strikes. After the first 200 rounds I took the gun COMPLETELY apart including the Striker Assembly All springs and everything cleaned it good. Then went back and put another 200 rounds through it. Only had 2 Failure to Feeds and one light primer strike. I reached out to Canik and they sent a 3rd spring (green) and a new Striker. But knowing that the gun got better I went back and took it down one more time fully. I did not install any of the new parts. Since that time I have put about 1000 rounds through it with zero issues 1400 rounds total. Seems they need some heavy break in but mine is all good now.

Got mine about 2 weeks ago and have ran it twice already. Shooting 115gr and 124gr FMJs. 350 rds through it so far and no out of battery or failure to feeds. 1 no fire bullet that had a good primer strike. I fault the bullet on that. Love the pistol!! Awesome with the MeCanik03 red dot.

I’m no expert but I’ve shooting for a while. I took mine to the range today for the first time. On the very first shot I experienced an extraction failure. After that I had zero failures on over 200 rounds, I let my buddy shoot the gun and he got failure after failure. The range master gave him some pointers. When my buddy shoots, he lets the gun kinda wonder around, I do a bit more rapid fire and had no issues, the problem was that the gun wasn’t cycling properly because of the relaxed grip that my buddy used. I gotta say that I love the gun. I was shooting 115 grain with no issues. Maybe be a bit more mindful of the grip and stance. I will nonetheless take it apart and check the firing pin. Just my 2 cents.

I’ve had mine about 6 weeks and have 1500 rounds of Blazer 115 grain through it. I had 2 failure to feed in the first 250 rounds. Since then it has been flawless. Believe me! I am in no way an influencer. If I was having problems I would let you know.

I bought mine about 5 weeks ago and took it out of the box and straight to the range. I had three light primers/failure to feed type deal in the first 23 shots. I shot another 175 rounds without issue. I took it back to the range a few days later and had to light primer/FTF issues out of 300 rounds total. So I had 5 issues in 500 rounds. I took it home and gave the gun a deep cleaning and light oil (viscosity) on a few area a long the slide and a few other small parts. I cycled the slide about 200 times and took it back to the range for another 400 rounds and it has been flawless since. I'm taking it out again tomorrow for another 200 rounds and I've still only cleaned it once. We will see how it performs. Thanks for the insight..

I have 4 Caniks and they do require a bit of a break in period. My Rival S took about 250 rounds to settle in. Now she runs flawlessly and I have about 2000 rounds through it without any more issues. Caniks also do better with NATO or 124 grain. There are quite a few guns that require break-in. That doesn't make it a bad gun.

My TTI's first mag had FT fire(no sign of primer strikes), about every other round and one FT Feed. My slide would rebound back after firing to be just slightly out of battery. I'm guessing the slide was far enough forward to allow the striker to release, but not forward enough to disengage the firing pin/striker block. I haven't disassembled the slide to examine the striker and confirmed that yet. I am not sure if the condition is caused by the slide not returning all the way forward on recoil or it could be slide bounce(weak main spring). I will be calling Canik about the stronger MS.

Thank you for an honest video and review. I am totally disgusted about all the reviews of the TTI which brag about the lessened muzzle flip and they have a red dot and a big honking flashlight attached which none come with the pistol. Put a flashlight on a pistol that ends past the muzzle and then brag about no muzzle flip?????????? Anyway, thanks for the honesty.

Thanks for watching. The thing I really notice about it is the trigger. It's great. The spring issue is because they're trying to make a production competition gun and didn't hit the tuning perfectly.

I'm reading these comments and it's like nobody's ever had anything but a Glock before or something. I hear all the same complaints about 1911s like people don't realize that you need to put a few hundred rounds through them to break them in. These aren't sloppy rattly poorly made guns, the machine is very precise and the tolerances are very tight.

I just subscribed and "Liked" this video because I like the way you discussed the issues/fix very well. But please be aware of how your camera "back focuses" every time you move your main subject (the gun in front). it's quite bothersome to view a blurry "main subject" while the two guns in the background are the ones in focus.

I got mine today and went to the range…had at least 4-6 failure to feed incidents. Hope it’s just because it not “ broken in” yet but I was a little disappointed…my other Caniks had some similar issues but not as bad as the TTI. Hopefully it won’t had any issues going forward…

Canik says 150 round break in. If it keeps up, simply get on their website and tell them about the issue. The new recoil spring makes all the difference.

Dealt with Century for 3 months to get a replacement and you wouldn't believe what they did if I was able to say it online, but in short, they broke the law bad. Total nightmare. With the two I've worked with I noticed the problems were mostly related to a poorly machined barrel throat/lip and spring tensions. Occasional light strikes, but not super frequent. Their replacement springs did not work for me, they failed to repair it and finally just replaced it. So, this isn't going to help everyone. Just a PSA.

I’ve had a jamming issue with my SFT. When I use fiocci ammo that had little flat tips it would get hung up and fail to feed. And the slide would be completely locked up. Even after dropping the mag it would be locked tight pretty good. Runs fine with everything else but I was considering polishing the feed ramp and seeing if it makes a difference. It’s not a huge deal to me because it’s only a range gun that I don’t carry. But it would be nice to not have an issue regardless of what I feed it. Super accurate piece with a great trigger. Should probably reach out to Canik and see what they recommend. For now I just use different ammo and it’s fine.

When I drop a round in the chamber with the slide locked back, usually you can point the barrel straight up, and gravity will drop the round out. With my TTI, some rounds get dropped in and have to be forced out. That definitely has to be part of the problem besides the recoil spring

Over a dozen FTF, FTE and no primer strikes in the first 100 rounds. It’s likely either a barrel throat, extractor tension or recoil spring problem. It’s causing damage to the side of the firing pin where it’s hitting the firing pin block. I’d guess that some of you that powered through just damaged your firing pin enough that it no longer properly blocks the firing pin. This could be incredibly dangerous if it’s now able to fire when it’s not completely in battery.
