Pamala Schultz I should have mentioned that in the video. Sometimes the grip of my girls is so good I can’t get my finger out for a long time. The sperm can reach the egg in 20 seconds, so I usually don’t put my finger in, especially if I get my tube way in there. Yes she did get pregnant, she had 2 babies which - she’s only 2.5 lbs and that’s a normal litter size for her. Thank you for bringing up that point ! ❤️

If you can keep all of the fluid in that is much better. Sometimes you can put a glove on and as soon as you’re done inserting the fluid, you can insert your finger with some gel you know all the way to that first knuckle and you leave it there for I would say at least 20 minutes because your simulating a normal tie. You will actually be able to feel the female she has two sphincter muscles that will alternate and squeeze your finger because her body is simulating, a natural tie and doing that actually keeps all of the fluid in. The sperm can actually reach the eggs in one minute and fertilize them if they are ready for fertilization. Sometimes, if you don’t insert your finger, you’re missing out on those contractions that are like uterine contractions that actually push the sperm where they need to go to fertilize the eggs. The female doesn’t always have those contractions, unless there is a simulated natural tie.

Tiko evans it depends on a few things. First off - every male ejaculates a different volume. I have found that each male is different. Some of my yorkies I only get .25 of an ml - you should not have any expel if that’s all you get and your breeding Yorkies. Now I have a boy who gives me about 5 mls every time - I almost always have some expel with that much regardless of how big the female is. I’ve had six puppy litters with only .25 ml collections. But .5 is my preference for a minimum and to be considered “good” . Remember- the first fraction during collection has no sperm and lubricates, the second fraction is the sperm rich fraction, the third fraction has no sperm and pushes the second fraction in deeper.
