In this video I replace the EVAP canister aka vent valve solenoid on a 2009 Chevy Impala with the 3.5 V6 and 270,000 miles on it. Enjoy the Wisconsin rust and dust show!

More complicated way to do it. Not necessary to remove the tire and plastic. It's all reachable behind the wheel well.

You didn't need a jack. You didn't even have to take the tire off.

Yeah, it goes against my own policy but I was only actually under the car in a dangerous place for maybe 2 minutes dealing with the hose. Had I put more than my hands in harms way I'd have grabbed a jack stand. Thanks for commenting!

@@fixingitrightish I know. I work on my cars in the driveway and its a temptation to just jack it up with no stands. I just worry about you and want you to realize those are the senarios where people get hurt or die. Good job on the fix though. I liked your video otherwise.
