The SEC announced that WM Technology (Nasdaq: MAPS), the parent company of Weedmaps, agreed to a $1.5 million fine for alleged wrongdoing. The former CEO and CFO each agreed to pay $175,000 in fines for issuing "misleading" user metrics after the company went public.
Tim Walz, Democratic vice-presidential candidate, believes marijuana legalization should be left to individual states but added that electing more Democrats could facilitate federal reforms, including cannabis banking protections.

🎉😅. I admit that I am Democrats leaning ... At least under the Democrats, the House has passed the Safe Banking bill a number of times ... And the Biden Administration has prompted the HHS and the Office of Legal Counsel and the Budget office to support the proposed Reschedule, which can be considered quite significant achievement, as per comments from experts in the sector. 🎉🎉. I am cautiously optimistic that there are rays of hope on positive progress of the ALJ hearing, given the HHS' data-based scientific determination, and the Office of Legal Counsel's support on the Reschedule. This is based on the widely accepted medical utility of cannabis. Medical studies indicate that taken in moderation , less than 30 mg CBD per day, micro dosage has medical utility for more than 6 million patients for treating 15 medical conditions. 😅😅 Some said that they do not have sufficient votes from Republican senators to pass the Safer banking bill. ... Hopefully something can be done during the lame duck session..😅.

From what I've seen, the proposals to raise the hemp THC threshold from 0.3% -> 1% are typically accompanied by a redefinition of the THC to total THC instead of just delta-9. It would be difficult to legally grow any hemp under a "total THC" definition of 0.3%, so that's why they bump it up to 1%. Not really a great solution imo

Do we even need a comment from Harris re: Rescheduling? Biden admin has gotten this to the point of the ALJ hearing, it's now in process. Nothing more for them to do about it or am I totally off?

@@sonnyb9962 correct. When we mention Harris administration, it’s more based on the overall support of cannabis, and implementing some type of reform, and whether or not they will comment about it.

Goddamn you two. What substantive legislative changes have Republicans brought to cannabis reform or legalization. Literally every major bill at the federal level has been brought and voted forward by Democrats. Walz enacted legalization in Minnesota as the governor through the legislature, not forcing some backchannel initiative because of republican obstruction on the issue. I swear, I am so sick of Republican gymnastics in this industry to justify their support of a party that 100% opposes you and your industry.

I thought it was just me who was going to slam these two for Trumpian slant crap. The republicans have been told by dear leader not to give the dems a win on anything. So the reason were not there yet is because of the house majority, which again and again has been told by trump not to pass anything, like what the feckless fart leader did, Trump is the one who kiboshed the bipartisan border deal period.

@@robmallory we don’t talk based on what we think. It’s best on networking and researching while we are in Washington. Republicans have enough votes for SAFE. We know this because we’ve spoken to every one you can think of behind the scenes. The only person who can bring the bill to a floor vote is Chuck Schumer. If you don’t believe me, then meet me there in. November and I’ll bring you along to learn. Seriously.

Harris and Walz are both from progressive recreational states. I think theyre being challenged to answer what the main headlines are immediately about, Economy, Border, basically the policy they're being challenged on. Although i believe cannabis is a good topic because im an investor, they cant afford to change the subject. The campaign is doing great, dont fix it.. MJ will come either before or after the election Fasho.. 😂

For me, Cannabis got the confused results as people are from mixing cannabis and alcohol at a party. How many people only use one substance to party. Cannabis alone is very good. Alcohol alone is very volitile. Party the two together and now you got a real mess. And that is how people are so confused...blessings...m
