Aug 2023 - HD version here - • Cannibal Corpse Lounge... Now if this guy can do it on national tv, then surely the boys from CC can come over and do their stuff as well!!!
The fact that the original uploader is still logged into this account, hasn't posted anything else in over 15 years yet still checks their comment section and hearts a selection of comments. That's true dedication.
If they had to do one- Tomb of the mutilaed. Would look forward to hearing the songs: Necropedophile, Entrails Ripped From A Virgin's Cunt and Split Wide Open.
Taylor Davis Look at your liked videos and come back here and remove your comment, realise that we listen to different kinds of music, to me your japanese pop stuff doesnt like garbage, and you feel like that about death metal too.
I think a horror scene with a serial killer torturing his victim would turn out more disturbing if this version was played on the background rather than the original song
@@lucarmin9683 It would. Reason being, the juxtaposition between the gore lyrics and the lounge music. In the original, the lyrics fit the music, but in this version, they very much don't. That's why the lounge music version sounds far more disturbing.
"We're not too surprised that people want to censor us, because most of the people who are in political offices, when they were teenagers, Elvis was being censored for moving his hips around on the Ed Sullivan show. So, people who grew up with that, what are they going to think about a band that sings about eating people?" -Alex Webster, Cannibal Corpse
It’s amazing how articulate the members of Cannibal Corpse are. I think if people who wanted to band them actually talked to them they would quickly realize it’s not to be taken seriously. They like metal and horror movies, so they write songs about that.
After seeing Cannibal Corpse live, I waited outside of their tour bus for about fifteen minutes to meet them. George and Alex came out and since I was the only one waiting, they just invited me onto the bus to hang out with them for about half an hour. They are VERY cool people, not violent, mean or destructive. I would never have guessed that they come up with the lyrics that they do, knowing how down to earth and nice they are.
I've heard of 1-800 numbers, and back in the day, 1-900 numbers 😉 But a 1-600 number?? 😃 Just dial 1-666-HELL! that's 1-666-4377, HELL! (4377 is hell written upside down numerically, but it helps visually when the 4 is written in it's more basic font).
What this is criticizing is neither Death Metal or Lounge Music, its criticizing censorship and the bias displayed by those who decide what is and is not worthy for our ears. Most musicians are on the same side of this issue, regardless of genre. Check out the PMRC hearings.
***** thats exactly what it was, check out there TV show its called The Chasers War on Everything. And if your Australian you probably know who they are already if not check them out they are funny.
if you like this, check out Andy Rehfeldt's "Radio Disney" covers of not just Cannibal Corpose but also greats like Carcass, Deicide, Slayer, Devourment, Gorgoroth and many others. Look up Andy Rehfeldt Cannibal Corpse and I guarantee you won't regret it.
death metal doesn't compare to most snuff films and most of the cartel execution/torture videos floating on the internet. So they'd be wasting their time, especially when 95% of ppl can't understand the lyrics lol
I remember this episode when it aired! I’d only been saying to a friend a few days beforehand that they’d like my music if it was in a different style. This song still plays in my head whenever I get into an elevator.
Cannibal Corpse is only as popular as they are because they had the most shocking lyrics and album art in the early 90's. Band like Morbid Angel, Entombed, etc. in that same era were far superior in both riffing and overall sound. The lyrics may not be as "brutal" (though Cannibal Corpse lyrics are just overdone... they seem like the lyrics of a try-hard), but the overall emotional effect is much more powerful, and the music is far more complex.
They were very influential in terms of pushing the boundaries of how heavy metal can be, and helped move the genre away from the thrash style of earlier bands like Death, Possessed, and Morbid Angel (who also played a role in this) and were essentially an early version of brutal death metal. I agree though, I enjoy other death metal bands much more than Corpse. Dismember, Morbid Angel, and Carcass being some of my favorites.
Anderson Smith haha i'm actually the opposite, i've always found Swedish (and other various foreign) death metal bands to be much more enjoyable. I also prefer Morbid Angel to Autopsy and Cannibal Corpse. Interesting how tastes work.
Anderson Smith If you don't think that Doom, Black, or Death Metal are technical genres, then you don't know much about music. >Candlemass >Darkthrone/Bathory >Suffocation Seriously man, you can even begin to suggest that in earnest.
it's an Australian show called "The Chaser's War On Everything" it's one of my favourite shows but I'm not sure if I could recommend it to any non-Australians since it was very much made for Aussies, alot of the humour has to do with Australian politics and things that were happening at the time in Australia, so international viewers probably won't get most of the humour.
This comment section perfectly encapsulates why I love metalheads and am proud to call myself one. Also, how have I not seen this before?! Fuckin' hilarious!
Aussie humour truly is the best! I love it here, but I just wish we didn’t become so politically correct, but I partly blame that on countries like the US that influenced the new world (mainly the media). Now, we have the chance of getting fined for swearing in public. Imagine how pissed off I was about that.
Hillarious version! You got to love the way he have that overly intense smile while singing these lyrics! But really people, why hate on CC just because of a parody? Let's face it: Both CC and the parody is awesome, so let's enjoy both instead of hating. This comming from a death metal fan.
When you hear the song like this, it's pretty funny. They might as well change the name of the band to "Scrotie McBooger Balls" or, "The poop that took a pee"
HappyHappyistGaming Lol, I was listening to this while watching South Park, also you should watch Cannibal the Musical, it was made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (I think) as a college project before South park.
I have to admit, I don't care for Cannibal Corpse at all. Whatsoever. That being said, this is a pretty funny cover. The sheer jarring effect from the soft style of music combined with the super gory lyrics is just hilarious. Plus, I can't even tell what the band itself is singing. Just sounds like a bunch of incomprehensible growls. How can I be offended by their music when I can't even make out the lyrics? XP
***** Yeah, that explains how I learned death growls in a couple weeks. It's not that tough, it takes skill, but it's not *that* tough. Also, it's piss easy to understand if this isn't your first day in death metal.
***** Slayer has no growls in it... Tom Araya has a rough voice and doesn't growl at all, I don't even think he could at his age. I'm not sure you really understand heavy metal that well.
i'm a metalhead and this shit is just hilarious, i don't see him as if he is mocking us, but like he is only analysing some death metal bands in his own style. like metal covers of pop music
This proves that lyrics ARE an important part of the music. I can't really imagine Cannibal Corpse singing about passionately making love after a pleasant dinner and wine.
There's something surreal about a man singing "Rape the limbless cadaver" then the camera cuts to an audience of old people who look like they're at church smiling and clapping.
I am a CC fan and i think this is brilliant... how can you be so serius about a song like this lol, this is just as good a Ten Masked Men's death metal version of pop songs... And i agree if this was put on a CD i would buy it in a heartbeat
For anyone who's curious, the singer and pianist is Andrew Hansen, and he's part of what was a comedy show from Australia called "The Chaser's War on Everything"
***** I'm familar with them. their music is just a little too crazy for me (I'm over 50) but hey, that's what people were saying about Black Sabbath when they came out in 1970. They basically took the peace and love stuff of the 60's and ripped it apart-the birth of Heavy Metal .
dude! be quiet... this is musical excellence! This is probably the best cover I've heard of this song.. Rancid Amputation is one of my favourite CC songs.. Nice work Chasers!
I loved this show when it aired here for a little while. The one with sneaking weapons into jail was priceless. Guy walks up with a freaking air-to-air missile tucked under the back of his shirt. Like 4 feet of either end were exposed xD
There's something called "pornogrind" now? Fuck I've been out of the loop. I'm also not a high school kid who thinks that listening to that stuff makes me hardcore and edgy anymore though.
