I can understand some of cannibal corpse's lyrics but most of them I can because of the speed of the lyrics and the overwhelming sounds of the instruments. It quickly starts to sound like noice. I find it easier to understand bands like Amon Amarth and All That Remains. The instruments aren't as overwhelming and the lyrics are slower.

Who in the straight mind would want to listen to a beautiful tunes with extremely filthy lyrics? Death metal is bad enough but this far surpasses the "normal" death metal in distorted mind. I don't listen to death metal but my son does. I was curious what death metal really is. Now I know. There's ZERO true happiness and a lot of hate in it and very dark. No thanks.

I'm catholic, and I'm passive aggressive and play death metal, but I play at the chorus for my church. But since I live in Texas, finding metal heads who play for the lord ain't rare. Actually, they love it. You can imagine a full bearded guy with black nails and dressed in black playing for the chorus.
