the beginning sounds so much cleaner then the album version. I wonder if it's just a different mix or if it's all the compression the cd goes through in mastering
Their music is BRUTAL and full of hate, and they look so damn ANGRY on their pictures, so it's great to see that irl they are actually happy people and they're having loads of fun playing, just makes it even more brutal
cool to see that a band who've been doing it for such a long time still get so excited when tracking and finishing a song. The amount of respect they all have for their bandmembers is humbling.
Seeing Paul and Erik so happy about the drums and the performance makes me genuinely happy too. They still have fun while creating and recording. Legends.
He actually does a lot. It's probably harder for him to read the lyrics and sing them how whoever wrote them wants them to be sung. It would probably be easier for him to write them
I don't know how these dudes keep going.. I was in a metal band called warrax for almost ,10 years in the 80s and I was completely burnt out by the early 90s.. I can't imagine playing that fast and heavy decade after decade .no way
@MrBlasturbator he doesnt just tune them, he also plays drums! hes a vocalist, plays guitar, drums, keyboards and hes also a producer Erik Rutan is a God!
@Warriorboss14 if youre not familiar with death metal yet you should begin with Evisceration Plague, Kill or Gallery of Suicide, if you already listen to death metal start with Tomb of the Mutilated, Vile or Eaten Back to Life
@pifa4life ya, thats the only problem that ive noticed with Eriks production in Cannibal Corpse, i can hear the drums fine when Paul does blast beats, but when hes just drumming normally, its pretty hard to hear
@xValbosMacabrex He does, but he hits the snare and cymbal at the same time, and he hits them on the tempo, when the original blast has the bass drum kick on the tempo. He uses some kind of "reversed blast".
paul is changin his game up a bit. before EP he was like "im gonna just bang the shit outta the snare every goddamn song" now hes a bit more technical.
@Warriorboss14 The Bleeding has always been my favorite from the Chris Barnes era. (Their first singer.) If you want CC with George, go for Evisceration Plague or Bloodthirst.
I'm such an alternative / blues-rock guitar player I am slowly becoming obsessed with this band I do not know why, this is my fourth passing of watching these guys make this album is fucking awesome I may have to throw my Stratocaster in the closet get a Flying V or something killer!
He changed his beaters from danmar (wood) to the axis beaters (steel).... how is axis the lighter one? I played with both danmars and the axis beaters and the axis ones are waaaay heavier
@Warriorboss14 what ever one u want. If i were um, id type cannibal corpse into google and click on wikipidia and have a look at the albums, and then have a listen to some (type to songs into youtube) and if u like the album, get it :D. Problibly MY fav song by them is They deserive to die. It amazing! At the min, I only have one of there CDs, witch is Cannibal corpse Vile 25 ani edition. Id recomend that 2. It has a rare live performence on it. GOOD LUCK!
