'If this shit was easy, it'd probably suck' And then come idiots who say 'it's just noise', 'this isn't music', 'talentless, they just beat their instruments to death', etc. I really respect this band for playing very extreme and technical music for over 25 years without ever cutting corners or slowing down. Each next record is more brutal than the previous one.
this is like my 7th time ive watched this DVD, for some reason i feel like it inspires me specially knowing that even these guys get frustrated at times too.
holy shit if CC get frustrated this calls for the end of my self loathing lol. Personally, l've noticed when shit is just not working after many hours, l just call it for the fn day, come back the next day and, it's like my mind and limbs remember every part and l nail it, usually within 2-3 takes. l have read somewhere that learning is a process that kind of like the behavior of cement. When it's fresh it's useless. You just gotta let it sit and dry and come back tomorrow, then you'll find it solid rock ready
Awesome. Great footage. Thanks for posting the videos. Much appreciated. By the way, the album did hit the Billboard Chart again. Congratulations to the guys. Hail Cannibal Corpse and to many more years and musical cannibalism, brutality and mutilation. Scalding hails.
i can relate to what they're saying. i tried recording easy-fat-power chords on my friends "mini studio" and that "microscope" thing that they are saying, 100% true. And even those easy chords will be hard when you do it on the studio
I am that guy who believes all of Cannibals best albums were with Chris. All respect to Corpsegrinder, who is Godamnn AWESOME, Chris actually wrote his own lyrics, as well as the most brutal lyrics ever, and was one of, if not THEE god father of the gore style as well as the deep gutterals💯
@Charliedethklok7 same man. this dvd always inspires me. not just in recording, but to get my personal skills better and it gives me ideas to apply to my music.
These videos are like.. A fucking dictionary for me.. I'm like "hmm.. I want that kind of sound.. " I love this shit! Cannibal Corpse, THE sound of death metal!
4:48 Totally right. When you've listened to a lot of bands and their music, you can tell when something doesn't sound natural, for example, guitar distortion. That's why I almost don't listen to modern bands.
“If this shit were easy it’d probably suck.” Considering how popular music is just programmed beats on a loop with simple ass guitar work here and there, no shit it sucks. Erik “The Wise” Rutan
