An Apple and Pear simple syrup to be used in tea, on pancakes, biscuits.... or add pectin and turn it into jelly. The taste is LOVELY and it is completely made of SCRAPS!!!! Garbage!!!! The peels and cores you would normally throw in the trash. Cost: about $3 in sugar and a little bit of time. That's it.

I just watched this today. I was thinking after I strain out the peels, I can get one more use by feeding them to my chickens. 💖

I added pectin to my juice and it made a very tasty jelly. I will be making it again before the end of the month so I can give it as gifts.

I'd use it in place of water when you make oatmeal. Yum.

That would be awesome to pour over ham or pork roast while it’s baking. Also, add some peppers for heat and jelly it. Awesome flavor combos! For nothing! Amazing. 👏🏻💕🇺🇸

Hello, love your channel. I froze all my apple peels from my apple pie filling recipe I did in June. I decided to try your recipe for the pancake syrup. Awesome Sauce!! came out awesome, 12 pints, the only thing I did different I added 2 cinnamon sticks and I added some ultra jell to thicken the syrup. I used only 5 cups sugar, it was sweet enough. the end product was unbelievable. Will use them for gifts together with your pancake mix. I'm very happy with the outcome of this syrup and its taste. This is a keeper. Blessings, Laura M

I just did this with my apple scraps! I’ve got half a gallon of juice in the freezer to process later. I was gifted boxes and boxes of apples. I made 19 pints of apple butter, dehydrated 7 quarts of apple slices and then the half gallon of juice from scraps to make apple jelly later.

Thanks for sharing; did it thicken up after it cooled down. You are so much fun to listen to your giggling with your work.

I would switch it out and add some tea bags around the syrup jars with a note on how to make thicker pancake syrup that way you get those of us who may not think of using the syrup to do double duty - I have a steamer juicer (bought the cheapest one $60) as I make alot of crabapple and rhubarb jelly and juice to drink. It breaks down the fruit without you having to strain it. I convert the fruit to juice then freeze it until I am ready to make the jelly. Your video is so great, it shows all steps and it was nice to hear the "pings"
