Classic Harstem: "It's completely over, he should probably be leaving at this point... I don't really see any way in which I lose this one..." 10 seconds later "Am I actually losing this game? Technically still possible that I lose this game!" HAHAHAHA Literally every game whether he is winning or not.
OMG, my gold1-plat3 ladder games look exactly the same... with the difference that I lose, of course 😂 I remember a PvT when my scout-probe saw only a Depot in the base. I immediately freaked out thinking I am proxied. Pulled another probe and a fast zealot to scout the map. I scouted the entire map and couldn't find anything... He went for CC first 😂 After that, with my complete misjudgement of the game, he won the game... GG for that. In PvZ Early-Mutas are very often. This was not the case, so... In PvP I make the same mistake over and over again. Better eco, not enough Gates. It was obviously a close one, so 6 Gates before taking a 3rd should have been game winner - which the opponent obviously did...GG for him. Great content! Thank you. Best regards.
@@ZAWARUD00 Dang... I mean it had already rounded that corner a moment earlier so I thought it was safe at that point. Perhaps it started to turn just a tiny degree more there and got killed?
The issue where you want to keep investing in something shit, because you already invested a lot in it is called the Sunk Cost Fallacy :) It's interesting (16:00)
The little edgy zoomer girl at work ruined my innocence. I know that lolihunter was only after one thing, And not interested, At all, In Harstems build order or tech path 😦 And thats how perverts win sometimes. The cant be mindgamed to a higher level
Yes. I wish someone in my past had been my Seth so that I, too, could maintain my innocence. Instead, I had a 10th grade English teacher who kept me after class to ask if I had ever heard of fel**ing.
I'm not a grandmaster, and I will never be a grandmaster, so a lot of what Harstem says is purely academic to me, like a Martian discussing Martian cultural trends. But this business about being railroaded into purchasing purple goat cheese hits me right where I live. You're all right, Kevin. You're all right.
I appreciate the confidence in your commentary. But I’ve now learned your “no way this person wins”. There Is there is a 50 percent chance they win. Liked and subscribed just saying.!
I think in the last game your opponent might also have realized he completely lost so he may have tried to intercept reinforcements cause he could not have won against your upcoming stalker push. He would have lost at home but he might have hoped for you to come back and therefore buying time to catch up in stalkers.
High he doesn't know, he is laser focused on Starcraft 2 as a hobby/passion-career, he has a gf/now fiancee or wife, is mentally stable, other hobby being going outside and unironically piloting a motorboat through Dutch rivers, lakes and floodlands as The Captain.
You know @Harstem, I had the same fear as you about goat cheese. It goes quite well on a salad with some nuts, cranberries, a lil salad dressing, highly recommend voor de koning.
Wait what - This kid was BORN right before SC2 came out.... And he's a GM. Wrap your minds around that one... He was born, learned to speak, learned to walk, went to kindergarten, then school, now high school and somewhere along the way he picked up this funny game called StarCraft 2 and became grandmaster at it.
The recommendation of this video shortened the title to exactly "Cannonrushing The YOUNGEST Grandma" which left me puzzled for a while why you cannonrush a grandma and how young is the youngest of them. I know a song where a 28 years old one is mentioned. So the youngest grandma could be about your age. :P
Try the damn cheese Harstem, better to try something new and learn more about yourself than to be ignorant of the joys of life. If you spend money on something you dont like, dont view it as a waste, but rather the cost of learning something new about yourself!
I really liked the two victory into a cocky loss build/format of this video. Some days I have a really hard time watching for 15 minutes just to watch into a close loss, then watch another loss for my only SC2 fix for the next day or two. I think I can handle two nice W's and then this loss. Thanks for the vid!!
@@r4in407 I want to get back into playing myself. I can take SC2 losses, but I cannot take lots of them in a row. I quit playing because of this. I think Hartem's newer videos are going to make me get back on the ladder in bronze
Funny how if game 2 was an IIIODIS, we would talk about the Protoss floating 1500 gas, on what's probably the most gas intensive race (other than mech Terran I guess)
Well he did make a templar archive and was warping in zealots to keep the pressure up while it was building, then he would have spent his entire gas bank at once. So not really.
about the last match. If what he did made no sense... then why did it make SO MUCH sense?¡ Isn't "doing the unexpected" precisely what makes the most sense in a strategy game?
@@inmundo6927 Well yeah thats why it is incredibly high risk, with an average reward. Getting lucky I guess is a strategy. A bad one, but it is still strategy.
@@NanoLT its not risky if you know you are cheesing your opponent even harder.. Its not about luck, but about numbers.. Harstem just expected him to go back to the base and waste time and resources building a battery and defensive structures, upon seeing no Nexus, but opponent just didn't buy it and kept the pressure on Harstem's side, confusing him all the way. I guess saying it was "luck" is a way of coping...
@@inmundo6927 I mean it was dumb luck, rushing an opponent that is one base all-in-ing you is just a speedrun to gg. Ignoring information given to you and guessing your opponent is doing something really stupid is luck and not a reliable strategy. Especially in harstem's MMR
loli is a word that refers to very cursed stuff. also, the game against said person reminds me of a rage moment of Artosis when he went: you can lose because your opponent is bad! gg
