It didn't work for me. It is giving me the "can't start ps4,. Connect the DualShock 4 using the USB cable and then press the PS button" in loop. after restart it shows a progress bar and it just progresses to 30 percent and then it stops and the loop starts.
Hey dude, when the first screen comes up, it only reaches 10% then go to that "cannot start the PS4" page. When I connect my controller, it tells me I need to download an update file (7.50). I'm not sure what to do because I've done what you've said to do

It didn’t work Can Someone please Explain How I can Do this or how ever many tries it takes to do it I keep going back to the Usb Needed to install update thing
You need a new hard drive and a usb and go to PlayStation.com go to install update then go to ur ps4 take out the hard drive then replace with new one and that’s it🎮
@Vegeta san there is currently no sound solution available, when this happens, itried my best to come up with this and do far couldn't find more than this video. If this not work, the only way to get your ps4 back is to by updating it or reinitializing it, which cause data loss

Man I’m searching up vid after vid and none of this is working 😔. This PS4 keeps saying “checking system storage” and “report problem” and never load anything it can’t even go to the next page. I can’t even open my own account without it freezing and shutting off.😔
This doesn't do anything for me. I have already lost all my data, about 6 saved games and one I was close to completing, and now it just runs up to 100 percent, takes me to the ps4 logo, then nothing but a black screen. If I have to initialize this thing again I'm going to lose my mind, I just started playing again after I lost everything a few years ago after a system update. Now it just screwed up out of the blue, and I've tried everything. I was just about to get a PS paid subscription just so I could back up my games and now this. I'm about to say good bye to Sony, but I already bought so many games. This sucks!!!!?
Hey man sorry to hear about your lost data, I understand your situation, as I went through the same once, Plz make sure to check these steps it ll sure help you, First remove your ps4 hard disc, It's easy to remove from back of ps4 and put it back to its place with slight hard push, It usually happens as hard drive is loose to its ps4 port, As electricity intrupts ps4, it ll take you back to this error, Next time if you c, your screen loading, first make sure to rebuild database then restore default, it Initialize if above steps not work for you, (if you have latest software update installed, if not plz make sure, you have latest software update) Initialize is the last option I recommend, Usually after getting this error, keep your self calm down and let it restart first without doing anything, it ll reach 100% and you ll be back to your play blue screen, It ll help you, Though admit, in such cases Xbox is savior, with backwards compatibility Really appreciate your commenting, and hope. @@lightyagami1002 Thanks for the reply, I will have to try to remove the HD. What is really bizarre is I was able to get into the "change resolution" screen, after I had already tried to change settings to default, then I was able to log in and choose which setting I wanted for the resolution, then I reentered the time, date, language, WiFi, and my account came back up with the two games I have been playing. I almost bought a subscription to PlayStation Plus right then and there so I could back up my games, but decided I should try restarting again to make sure it was working properly. Of course when I turned it off, i'm stuck again in the same loop. I will try to take the HD out and clean some dust out of the system, and hopefully that will help. I did check when I was logged in briefly and I have the latest sw update. Thanks
@@gotchufam2964 thanks for the reply.. I never did from the first time last year I had to initialize it, nor this time. Weird thing is, my games that I had stored this time were on the hard drive still, but not the saved games. I didn't have to go through the extensive process of loading the discs. I ended up getting a PS+ subscription and setting all my games to be stored, but now I'm so fed up I hardly play it now. I started picked back up again from the beginning on RDR2, but it's going to take so many hours of time just to get to where I was in the Epilogue and I lost all the things I grinded for in the game, all the treasure maps, legendary animals and clothes made from them, etc. It's pretty aggravating, I only paid for a month of ps plus and I might see how it goes and just ditch it. The hard drive works, it just has some bugs, and I believe they came from updates.

You need to remove your hard drive, and put it back and then try to rebuild your data base in safe mode, It ll hopefully save your data, but its not guaranteed, You hve to initiliaze it , to get it back running again, atleast
another solution is just turned like when you like turn the PS 4 off it's like the power button down for 7 seconds and it should say safe mode, but soon as the beach twice, like, let go of the power button immediately, then what you want to do is put plug in your you, have 4 controller, and then press rebuild database, and that should work, if not press restart p s 4 or you might have to like factory reset, it is like, you know it doesn't work
I have a few questions which I would be glad if u could answer them . 1- Why does my ps4 gives me only one option being initializing through usb that being option 7 in safe mode (Rest all options are not selectable ) 2 Even though I have the initializing file in my usb sometime it doesn’t detect and forces me back to option 7 .Sometime it detects and asks me to delete all users and data etc which when I proceed it gets stuck in between and gives me the error of cannot access system storage data . I have tried removing the hdd cleaning it ,removing the power and hdmi cables and all that stuff . So am confused as I just bought my ps4 few months back and took care of it like my babe so am sure I haven’t dropped it or anything . The only option left for me is to format my ps4 hdd via my pc and connect back and hope to work . Please suggest me any other things that might work . Thank you

okay because im experiencing the safe mode loop that happened to you it always tells me to do options 7 but after that my ps4 will work fine it can play games it loads faster its not lagging or freezing its like a new ps4 basically but as after i turn it off, restart or even put it in rest mode after i turn it on it'll tell me ps4 couldn't be started and leaving me with option 7 again i hope u know how to fix this kind of bug? lol
K. ZE if u are stuck with option 7 and the ps4 is in a restart loop then for sure it’s ur hdd . For a cheaper option I would say swap ur hdd from ur laptop into ps4 and see if it happens again am sure it won’t but just try it . No need to worry about formatting ur hdd once u put it in ur os4 it automatically formats the hdd
my screen gets stuck on 2:00 and doesnt fully load 100%. Instead another screen comes for me which says "cannot start the ps4 connect the dualshock 4 using the usb cable and then press the ps button" even tho my dualshock is connected to my usb?
If you guys end up fixing it or it won’t fix there is a high chance your harddrive in your ps4 need to be replaced and it should be cheap and easy to do
Ya’ll the only one that works is restore default settings , you just have to log back in to your ps4 account and all your data is saved btw. This happened to me today

and its stuck at 26% then slowly goes up when its done they tell me something about a usb i press ok then it whole thing starts again its driving me crazy
I have a mixed problem where I see this screen and also I Speedrun through the Initial Adjustments but I don't have the same Theme in the Background menu, but games and all seem in order BUTT. It still appears the Blue Screen where it says: PS4 Overheating it will Turn off. And I can't find a way to solve this yet. Pls if u solved this already let me know. Idk why just yesterday I came from the living room and my PS4 turned off on its own.
service it, its inner board gets dusty and fans get clogged with dust , and system get over heated when fans are not working properly, just go near repair store and clean it

I initialize it 3 times now, this is my last time to do it. if it happens again imma throw ps4 out the window n move to Xbox or ps5 fs just a pissed off 😤

It just deletes everything but you can re download it from library. My ps4 been actin up for days, keeps takes be back to cannot start ps4 when I turn off the game or when I close application

When I was downloading the system storage status as soon as it hits 100 it says I need to connect my controller but when I connect it with the USB cable it don't work
i downloaded update From safe mode twice but still it takes me back to the same place “Connect ur controller and press ps button”. And i know ur previous video is about to reset all ps4 but the thing is I have ao many game downloaded and i dont wanna waste so much of Internet on them again. Please help!!!
