In February 2022 we rented a canoe from Anderson Outdoor Adventures and paddled 8 miles on the Santa Fe River in Florida. This was the second time we had floated the Santa Fe. The first time was a couple of years before and we did a full 15 mile run. The 8 mile float is perfect. You get to see lots of wildlife and 8 of Florida's most beautiful springs along the way.

Thank you, I so enjoyed seeing the river and springs. Amazing at how clear the water was and the colors were beautiful. The guy swimming looked to be enjoying exploring the area. We aren't far from there, we might just go check out one of the parks along the river.

Y'all will love it! The Blue Springs State Park is awesome, and the campground is really nice. And Rum Island Springs is a free county park. Ginnie Springs has 7 or 8 springs on the property. It is privately owned. I think it was $20 or $25 to get in for all day access, but we thought it was definitely worth it. Nice picnic areas inside at the springs.

Great float. Jessie refuses to get in the water in Florida. Gators, you know. 😂

We have floated Santa Fe twice and haven't seen them yet. But they are there I am sure. Lol We have been told by many locals that it is unlikely for them to be in the springs, not a zero chance, but you can at least spot them before you jump into the clear springs :D

Such a pretty spot filled with wildlife. I have been in a few springs in Florida but not this one. I'll try to fit it in to the next trip.

We love the springs around Central Florida. Blue Springs State Park will charge the small entrance fee. The campground is gorgeous there. And a couple of free county parks we really like are Royal Springs (not in this video) and the Rum Island Springs that is in this video. Great places to play.
