In this video we go Kayaking on the Santa Fe River in Northern Florida. We rented a tandem Kayak from Rum 138 and hit the water. The amount of nature and clear water we saw was breathtaking.
We were low on battery and our phones died along the way but here are some highlights from our journey.
The people at Rum 138 were amazing and the river was beautiful. As you paddle along you can take different small branches off the river to springs with crystal clear blue water.

Beautiful day on the river. Thank you for taking us along! It was a little piece of home/the Southeast for this travel nurse currently out West. Really enjoying following Mountain Life. Y'all have something special going on. Safe travels and thanks again for all you share with us!

I'm new here and still learning about kayaking waters in north Florida. Vids like yours really fill in the blanks for me. I've already managed to find a few quiet and peaceful spots, and now I know about a bunch more about the Santa Fe. Thanks.

Right on man from 38 dude that's right across the river from where I live I'm on the other side of the river right down the road from like Blue Springs great video man the river is beautiful

Yeah you went right by the spot that has the Rapids with the nice house on the left we flipped our canoe over there we had our dog with us it was pretty fun though we didn't lose anything and then he even went to a Blue Springs that's where we always go it's a beautiful part there with the boardwalk everybody should know about the springs in the river everybody just thinks we are beautiful beaches and they don't really explore the rivers

That's awesome @Christopher Sinni It really is surprising all of the crystal clear springs around this area and how they tie into the river. Though my dad was telling me that a lot of the springs are slowly disappearing which is not cool.

wow, in my 2 1/2 months here in FL so far, i've only seen one of those turtles and it scooted in the water before i could get a photo, darn.

That's crazy +SKPjoe Coursegold, I didn't know you were in Florida! I know the feeling though, we'd not seen any of these turtles then on this trip they were everywhere, there were probably another 8 or 9 logs that we didn't show that were filled with more of them. It was crazy.

I found your channel a couple of days ago and liked the first one I watched so well that I immediately subscribed and have been watching them in chronological order. Love them and so just now getting to you adventures versus the reno projects-which is awesome. You guys should design RV’S! You reference your wife always so kindly, it would be nice to see her in your videos too. She must be really camera shy??

Anyway thank you much again, and as you go through the videos you'll see Katie, she is starting to be in them more. I'm actually working on editing a video we just did of redoing our lower kitchen cabinets with reclaimed wood and she is in it :)

+Mountain Modern Life Google Wading River and Cedar Creek. Both have RV parks. Tighter going than what you are paddeling there. But you can be sure there are no alligators in NJ waters.
