Nice video Derek, I have the 7Dii and the EF100-400ii zoom , I like bird photography too but I bought the 500D screw on lens for when I spot something small and interesting. This zoom has great close up magnification anyway 0.32 : 1 but with this 500D I get a zoom magnification from 0.32 : 1 at the wide end(100mm) out to 0.7 : 1 at 400mm and a very handy focusing distance of about 30-40cm from the end of the lens. Best thing is you don't have to change lens when you're out and about just screw it on if you want extra magnification. Also if you add a 1.4x or 2x T.C on the magnification is increased too Cheers Noel Orewa, Ak New Zealand
Thanks Derek, for the great video. I think the other Canon lens you refer to is actually the Canon 500d, which I own and its similar to the 250D, but not as strong and therefore a bit easier to use.
So nice to see another video from you. I am genuinely excited about your new order. I think the family might have something to say about you spending all your time out in the reserve. It's sometimes difficult to juggle your passion with family....I know all about that. It is such good news that the lost has returned. I just wanted to ask the name of the piece of music you play all the time? I should know it but it will not come to me. Lastly, in a few days time will be travelling through Euroa. I plan to stop off at the Balmattum Hill Bushland Reserve, where you shot your video. Are you planning to return here? Also, there is an Arboretum in Euroa that looks good. Would you recommend this?
Hi Pauline I have my new camcord lot's of experimenting to do & a lot of late nights coming up. Music I play is Wish_You'd_Come_True Have fun at Balmattum Hill Bushland Reserve in Euroa sore wont be there my self but I am go to perth on march 11 for two week holiday awesome !. The Arboretum in Euroa is nice to visit not very big though Cheers Derek
