10 mega pixels will produce an excellent 13" x 9" print at 300dpi or a good 19" x 13" print at 200 dpi - This camera is suitable for more than just social media. Amazing value!
brought this awesome canon EOS 40D 10.1MP digital SLR semi-professional camera 📷 in mint immaculate condition. in official box. been well looked after cared for by it's previous owner someone's dad who used it for taking photo's of orchids. came with 3 batteries + battery covers. battery charger. 2 compact flash cards.USB data cable. new official canon shoulder strap. and official carrying bag + inergrated rain cover. and all accessories plus added extras. very affordable in 2024. built like a tank. this is wot you call a camera. 📸
The base iso is 100, actually. I still have mine. The big 'upgrade' from the previous model was the Live View mode. One can put any vintage lens via adapter and use the back screen to zoom 5x or 10x in order to get the manual focus more precisely. Useful. In general - it's old and past its time, but If you know what you are doing, you can get perfectly fine pictures with it. The cheap lenses like 24/2.8 EF-S and 50/1.8 STM work like a charm on a thing like that. I would recommend also the 10-18 STM. Wide angle on a crop for cheap - always a good thing.
I have a 50D a twin of this camera in built quality with 5 megapixels more. They are made of magnesium alloy bodies, hence very durable and built like a tank. Canon’s color resolution is very good even back then. Same focus points as the classic 5D. In the hands of a good photographer, the 40D can still produce good quality pictures to this day. Thank you for this great review.
My favourite camera growing up, my first ever upgrade from the rebel XT, 18-55mm + 50mm f1.8 + 35-80mm were my combos! Great stuff *subbed* much love from Vancouver Canada
I had that camera right now and I really loved it though its LCD was really a big problem; you cannot identify if the images that you took is sharp or not that is why I decided to buy a new LCD replacement from china and now it looks great! it seems that the newer LCD got a much higher resolution than the original.
hi, i have the same canon 40D camera and i also don’t like the screen, where you can buy another screen, it has a different resolution, what changed the quality?
I have this with 18-55 and 55-250, and bunch of m42 old lenses with adapter. I like ergonomics and whole process of taking photo with this body, its like fishing, or bbq. Photos are perfect, fat pixel, like 5d m1
Yep it was morning. I didn't see any snakes. When the sun came out more I did see some turtles sun bathing on the logs. I didn't get any good shots of them, but there is always another day. thanks
Lee Looks like a great camera the only thing my old Pentax cameras have over the Cannon in my opion is IBIS, SDHC memory cards with the firmware update insted of the obsolete CF cards used in the Cannon camera.
yes I have a 200-400mm Tamron for Canon with no IBIS on camera. Having to double the shutter speed is not very good especially with a camera that doesn't have good ISO.
@@andycollins5983 He says in the video that he's using AV mode which isn't auto, so his ISO should go down to 100. I've had this camera since 2007 and it still take fine pictures as long as you have enough light.
