I use a combination of two of your builds. Should rig I use the cine T4.4 18-80mm zoom. Handheld I use the same 17-55mm 2.8. Hard to beat that lens. Nice video.
Great Video! I really love the way you mounted the teradek from the back! What kind of adapter is it, that connects the teradek to the could shoe mount? Thank you and keep it up :)
The smallrig rig was the first rig I had for the C200B, however after I used the Tilta shoulder rig for C200, I'd never go back. The only advantage that smallrig has is adapter plates and small accessories. The smallrig top plate also has more mounting options comparing to the Tilta, but Tilta offers accessories in much better quality.
Do you think its possible to start a decent local videography business (Interviews, Corp, Real Estate, Commercials etc) using the Canon C200 as your main camera?
Sean Sweeney absolutely, I think the c200 is perfect for those looking to get into cinema style cameras. Especially for those genres - corporate, interviews, real estate, weddings. The only thing that compared in my opinion is the Ursa mini pro G2 which has a leg up in internal raw /prores codecs. But I’d probably hand it to the c200 for what you’re looking to get into.

The ways you rig up your C200 are awesome and I very much like the look and format how you made the videos. Super easy to follow, great camera shots to show viewers step by step how to setup/add/ to each rig, and I'm a rig junky anyways so I love this stuff. I have already copied your bullet point list of gear for each rig into my personal "video biz startup" notes and will be using your rig suggestions for Run/Shoulder/and Easy Rig. I hope you make more C200 videos and dive into what type of jobs you can get and how to grow with C200. Another question if you don't mind, based on your opinion and experience, do you think entering into the Real Estate videography markets with something like a C200 (if you know how to operate it like a master of course) will give you a more competitive edge than say, buying a DSLR like and something cheaper like a Canon 1DX MarkII-III? Will it help you win customers from realty/marketing agencies and can you charge more? Also, are the C200's used on any high end music videos, product commercials for large corporations (like Nike, Johnson and Johnson, etc)? Or do you think to get to that level you need to have knowledge and access to ARRIs and REDs? I'm also curious to know that once you did buy your C200 do you feel that it helped propel your reputation and grow your business/paying gigs faster? Sorry for the 20 questions, I just like how down to earth you are and seem like a really good dude to get some guidance from. Thanks Kevin!
Sean Sweeney this is a very big topic but the short answer is that the way you should look at cameras, and the c200 in this case, is like a tool. I think the c200 is a fantastic camera for the lower to mid level productions. Any big looking camera “looks” cool and might impress the client. But it’s the final product that really matters. These days, any camera can do a great job and make a great image, so it’s more of choosing which camera has the feautures you want that will help you do your job better and easier. Things like built in ND filters, autofocus, ergonomics, etc.. as far as higher end commercial productions and feature films, Alexa mini has been the industry standard. The music video world tends to lean more towards RED. For me, the c200 has been a great cine camera that is dedicated to video only. I can easily use this camera for the rest of my career but I plan on upgrading soon because I want to challenge myself with working with higher end gear and acquiring the best image possible. But if I had to do it all over again, I’d probably still get the c200 to help start my career.
