Canon launched a professional camcorder EOS C500. The size, appearance and function of Canon C500 is very similar to EOS C300. But C500 can now support 4K and 2K recording together with some adding functions...... www.asbroadcast.com/
The Cinema EOS line is geared toward professional filmmaking - such as commercials, cinematic films, etc. Whereas the HD camcorder line would be considered "pro-sumer" and is meant for videography (such as event camera work) and perhaps reality television/documentary style shoots. Anyway, the features are different and geared toward different styles of shooting and different applications.
Peter's English is much better than many dreamers being rude to people. The most rudest, horrible /or childish adults always complaints. Have you seen the ATG Canon EOS-C500 Kim X? Thank you for sharing to us, Peter.
thanks for your review - removing the long lens certainly demonstrated the robustness of the mount - ie the full weight falling. As a DoP I always have the 1AC leave the lens support bracket taking the weight while unlocking the mount. This way the mount ring is free to move and you do not have the sudden weigh of venerable focal lens jarring the mount and potentially trowing out back focus. apart from this i liked the sharing of knowledge.
They had a major sale recently. I'm not sure if it's still going on. I remember hearing about some cameras going for $11k or so (usually $20k). I think IndyMogul on RU-vid covered it.
dont complain this is worth it IF you NEED the dynamic range but i can totally see where youre coming from if you are just a casual filmaker and not a full blown indie film maker
This isn't a review, it's a product description video. You don't test any footage, you just give us all the information from the Canon specs site. Give us footage, give us your thoughts on using the camera in a real situation. Roll on the Philip Bloom review.
Guys I'm completely new to this entire filming industry, just starting this as a hobby and it interests me a lot, and I have a question, if I may. I went to Canons' USA web-site and saw there that they have two lines of professional camcorders, their Cinema EOS line and their HD camcorders. What's the difference between the two? Why is a Cinema EOS costs more/is better than a professional HD camcorder? Thanks a lot in advance! :)
i have a certificate working with cameras like the RED and FS and C seiries (big production cameras) nothing on my channel has any effort put into it, trust me you won really be needing a c500 for indie films that have a small to medium production but when it comes to big inde production that extra bit of dynamic range and utilitys and custamisable setting s will help you
BS"D Hi Lily, Can you please help me. My C300 does the same thing right now. I get colored streaks that pop up quit often. Do you know why this happens and what can be done to fix it. Thank you for all your time in advance.
If you're looking purely at price... but you can't seriously compare these two cameras; there's a reason it's a 20 thousand dollar price difference between the two.
The only thing that hampered my purchase (originally) is that it requires a external recorder to do 4K. How stupid, even Canon 1DC DSLR has internal 4K. Something like this behemoth should of had 4K internal and with a better codec. Panasonic is bringing out a 4K DSLR (GH4) at around $3000-3500. I can buy 3 of those with lenses and cards for one of these.
Currently that is not possible, the fastest CF cards right now can only record 150mb a second max, RAW video requires about 600mb a sec, big difference.
I have a distinct urge to comment inappropriate texts on videos likes these. Mainly because he's so SERIOUS (stewie voice). But, I'm not going to. Simply because ... Well... I don't know.... I'm just not going to. Nope
Well, I checked your channel and I think you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The reason why I would buy rather 4x cheaper camera that has almost the same capabilities is because for what I do it's much better tool for the price. As an indie cinematographer I do care mostly about the final image which BMPC can provide me. ;)
I really like this guy, but I did find it hard to understand what he was saying. Unfortunate because he has a lot of information to impart, I'm just having a problem understanding him clearly and he's speaking really fast.
