Here, in this video I compare (in Hindi) the Canon 70D's autofocus in face tracking mode (with 18-200mm lens) with continuous autofocus with Nikon D750 in continuous autofocus (with 24-120mm lens).
From the video, you would see that, like most other DSLR cameras Nikon D750 also has focus hunting issues and the movement of focus from one point to other is quick and sharp but not good for video.
The movement of focus of Canon 70D, which uses dual pixel autofocus technology, is very smooth and not jerky. This kind of autofocus movement is required in video.
Please remember: Most of the DSLR cameras (including Nikon, Canon, Sony etc.) will behave like Nikon in this video for shooting video. So keep that in mind while buying your new DSLR for video.
