In this video, I will show you 2 methods how to connect Canon E470 to your wireless router. Method 1: WPS Push Button Mode Method 2: Cableless Connection
My WiFi 6 router combine both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz but it will use frequency based on the device supported. I follow as per your instruction, by using my phone (which is connected by 5Ghz), the printer is still not found in the list of devices connected to the network. Right now the LED light up solid for Wireless, Network and the Triangle shape. Any ideas I can do to make it work?
Okay i got the trick now, the issue is the phone you're using to setup must be connected to 2.4Ghz WiFi. My workaround is to enable Guest WiFi but make sure it using 2.4Ghz and can associate with main network. (or you can separate 2.4Ghz/5Ghz SSID and connect to 2.4Ghz WiFi to continue the setup, or you can use any phone that not supported 5Ghz)
Hi, you are a genius!! Ya, as long on the router has the 2.4Ghz enabled, then you can connect to the router so that other devices under the same network can find the printer.
Hello, do u know whether this printer is compatible to a wifi6 router? Cos recently i hv upgraded my unifi package , so they had changed my router to a wifi6 router. Ever since the changes, the printer can't connect to the wifi already? Any idea what's wrong?
Hi, this printer supports 802.11 b/g/n connection only (in short 2.4G Wifi band). For Unifi router, it supports 5G connection and 2.4G connection. Just make sure the 2.4G Wifi is enabled on your router, then you can connect the printer to the Unifi router easily.
Unfortunately I followed your steps... and it screwed up my entire router. Now I have to pay extra to call technician and what not to come fix my home internet. Regret trusting youtube videos....=.='' Not helpful. For those who need to set up their canon printer using wireless router. Do not follow this step, or you may end up like me.
