Jared another time that's great for using the screen and not the EVF is when you're dealing with shooting clients who aren't comfortable with cameras. It can help to be more connected with them by not "hiding" behind the camera.

just watching this pretty much because I just picked up my R6. This was probably be best video of this type I have seen, complete & wonderful to hear at least a short blurb about the job of each menu setting. I know it was long but from my perspective, it was a very good piece. Thank you.

Jared, thanks so much for making this! The plane of focus is important for video, and more specifically when using it for cinema whilst in manual focus. The DOP takes a tape measure and calculates exactly the distance between the camera sensor and the object so that they can nail focus 100% of the time.
