I took the Canon EOS R7 and the Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM Lens to the Wings Over Camarillo Air Show. It was the perfect combination to catch the planes in flight and the explosions on the ground.

Nice shots. When shooting prop planes if you shoot 1/320 or slower you will get prop blur that shows motion.

Awesome vid! I currently have a canon sL3 desperately needing an upgrade since I also film air shows and with the sL3 have 9 autofocus points is just rough and impossible to track a jet. Good battery though, what is the battery like filming air shows with the r7? How long would it last?

I bring a backup battery with me, and between the two of them, I can shoot all day.

It's mostly photo based. I do very little video work at airshows.@@directaviation2044
