Hi everyone! here is my sample video to show u guys how to change the ink absorber kit on your canon G1000/G2000/3000 printer after resetting the ink absorber counter.
QUESTIONS :
1. What is "Ink Absorber Full."
2. Why do we need to replace it?
ANSWER： Canon printers use small, spongy pads to absorb excess ink that accumulates while printing and cleaning the print heads. When these pads are saturated, the printer will notify you with an error message such as "Ink Absorber Full." or "error 5B00" Some models display a series of flashing lights that you must consult the user manual to decipher.
WARNING: When the ink absorber pads are full, you need to reset and replace the ink pads inside the printer. If not replaced with the ink absorber pads after resetting, the printer will be leaking and will damage some sensor part or PCB in your printer.
Tips: As for the "full" waste ink pads, you may be able to keep using them without replacing or cleaning them for the FIRST reset of the counter without ink leaking.

THANK YOU! This works! I just changed the ink absorber kit of my G2000 and saved money (shop quoted RM80, bought the kit from Shoppee for RM20 and changed it in 5mins)

Rigt on this part. I was careful but manage to dislodge the hose. Do i just put it back or is there a socket i need to align to put it back

@@yoshibuta926 yes there have a slot at top area, but is ok you no need to align back .Just make sure the pipe is not folded and the ink is save discharged to the absorber kit.

Where should the plastic ink overflow tube go? On the top of the pad?

A better fix is to drill a hole in the back of the printer and route the overflow tubes out the back into an overflow tank (small plastic bottle) you provide. Keeps the inside of the printer a lot cleaner.

@@davidrboland Thank you. After posting, I did eventually find pads from a supplier in China. Why the hell they are not readily available and easy to find I can attribute only to corporate greed and planned obsolescence, which is why the planet is increasingly polluted with plastic and e-waste.

@@johne6081 That's not the half of it. Consider the fact that the absurd cost of printer consumables & spare parts leads to truly phenomenal levels of repairable printers going to landfill. You'll find shedloads of MG cartridge fed printers being thrown out with printhead burnout (partly due to the fact that Canon make no attempt to warn users of some simple steps to reduce the risk of this, like enabling quiet mode, never running inks down past warning symbols and being wary of compatible inks with potentially lower cooling efficiency). Genuine new print heads can be double the cost of the printer itself and the scandalous cost of genuine inks means that even if consumers are aware of the risks of compatibles it is vastly more cost effective to accept the likelihood the printer lifespan will be reduced, as its often cheaperto chuck it out and get a new one than repeatedly buy genuine inks. Given the current attention paid to waste and climate change by governments and pressure groups, I'm astonished printer manufacturers haven't had their collars felt.

Good question. Full ink absorber kit ony use in manufacturers assembly. For next maintenance waste ink full counter for G2000 is between 65% . So just need replacing half absorber kit .

Someone else on the Internet claimed that you'll get ink spilling out of your printer if you don't change the other pads. There are 8 total -- the 3 replaced here, plus 3 more on the bottom, plus a spill pad under each ink tank. The kit comes with 6 pads -- everything except the spillers under the tanks.

To put Canon G2000 printer in service mode and reaet absorber counter. Step 1: Turn off Canon G2000 printer Step 2: Press and hold Canon G2000 printer’s RESET button Step 3: Press and hold printer’s POWER button. Step 4: Released Canon G2000 printer’s RESET button, POWER still pressed Step 5: Press and released Canon G2000 printer’s RESET button 5 times Step 6: Released Canon G2000 printer’s POWER button Wait till green light become stable. Now, Canon G2000 printer on SERVICE MODE condition. Step 7 : To enter reset key. press reset button 5 time then press power button 1 time to enter. Turn your printer off , then restart . Cheers !!! The reset button is the red triangle button, I assume. I didn't change the absorber but I tried resetting it. It didn't work. Yeah Good Luck.

Guy's walang reply sakin kung pwede ba ang cloth as pamalit na ink absorber kaya sinubukan ko sa trabaho ko, sa printer sa Office so far so good naman po.. Wala issue sya kaya pde pala ang cloth.. Printer head cloth ng Tarpaulin Printer ang eksaktong inilagay ko sa Canon G4000 ilang weeks na la nmn issue sa Canon G4000.. Tnx
