Really appreciated that. Thanks. I found the black plastic side panels harder to remove. Releasing the clips moulded on to the inside of the panels was not easy. You could have shown the SMPS power supply is a self-contained subassembly. It slots into a space at the back left corner. It has a security screw, but not a Torx.
Hey running a few years strong.. Just wanted to drop a line & say "Gr8 Fix!.. Thank you!" Haven't been able to use my printer in about a year.. And I told myself today that if your video fix didn't work..I gotta go on ahead & buy a new printer & quit bs'n.. But didn't have to 😁

There is no way to do that, unfortunately. In order to print just color, you must have all cartridges installed. You can sometimes bypass the empty cartridge message and continue printing, but that may fry your printhead or cause other errors or damage. Get aftermarket ink from Amazon or ebay, or whatever marketplace you use. The cartridge set for this printer costs around $10-$15. Good luck!
I put new ink in it and it died. Zero lights zero action just like 5heres no power to it which really really sucks because I just spent almost 80 bucks on the ink and since I opened the ink made of Unobtanium I cannot return said ink. I'm having my11yro daughter take it apart and put it back together before I turn it into a target for my 5.56. Thanks for the video.
