I love you bro. Just saved me £200. Dropped a screw down the back and smashed a roller, managed to get in there using this video tear down and fix it. Legend!
Thank you so much for thus video...I almost through my printer away and after watching I pulled USB cable out because of your help. God bless your channel my friend.
I can't believe I actually fixed this printer and I have you to thank. I seriously had a bead stuck in there that I couldn't see and had to force a sturdy piece of paper/cardboard until when I pulled back on the paper it kicked out the bead! Glorious day for the handyman!
Mine wasnt taking the paper inside.. so I followed your steps and found nothing inside, I guess the feeder had given up, luckily I had another exact printer laying by with damaged print head. So i substituted the print head to the older printer and resumed printing.
Great job...........How did you know how to take the unit apart ? Did you have the "service manual' ? I have an MP210, and I don't see the Paper feed roller turning to feed the paper. I don't see how to get the back cover off to access the rollers. Can you help with that issue ? I'm getting an E2 error and there is no paper jam.
Nice one. I just pulled a miniature cardboard parcel out of mine. 1x2 inches it is amazing what can be hiding inside that area. i did not need to disassemble just poked it out with the cereal box card trick. You should be able to force an A5 shape of cereal box card through a clear printer with power off. A reverse push (from the front) revealed my blockage. Thanks.
Do you think it is a coincident that I had the exact same problem? I tried to vacuum, shake, bounce around my printer and could not find anything stuck in it. I only used it a few times before this happened. I thought for sure I had something stuck in there. I could see the wear on the main roller. When I finally got it apart, I could not see anything. I shook it a little more and could hear something. There was the culprit! A YELLOW BEAD!!! I do beading, so it wasn't a huge surprise until I saw MY YELLOW bead!!!! WTH???
I did everything he showed, found the stuck item, but now the power will not come back on. I made sure to plug in the motherboard wires. Blue side of the wire to the smooth side and metal to metal. It will power up just the initial plug in, causing the ink to prime. But when I press the power (start) button, it will no come on.
Check if the motherboard pins are damaged (I kept the scanner opened as shown in the video, but I haven't noticed that it was on the wall, not hovered like I did which pulled the pins in the motherboard)
What happens when there's some chunk of paper still inside and printer still working? does that mean the printer has some fail safe or should I still try to remove it? I can't see it visually
I did exactly that and retrieve a plastic thing that fell into the printer. All going swimmingly until I plugged it back and there is no power whatsoever. Any suggestions please?
hello sir how yo keep the paper go on even when the cover is open. i cannot find smtg physical and i stuck when the paper cannot go through because it says the cover is open so cannot proceed printing
