I have the OG R5 and many people DONT KNOW this... but if send it out raw to the NinjaV plus GIVES YOU clog 2 in prores raw in 8k 30 or 5k60in 1.6 crop mode. SO YES you CAN get clog2 in the OG r5 if you have an atamos ninja vplus and the raw licence-
Clog 2 from R5 raw also possible using with DaVinci Resolve or FCP. 8K raw using ninja v is 10bit - 8K raw recorded in camera 8K raw is 12 bit. Not a huge difference visually but perhaps a little less noise using the internally recorded raw. The advantage with prores raw is easier editing in FCP than CRM files.
I filmed with two pre-production R5II’s with the base iso at 800 for both bodies. One camera had a really clean image and the other had noise. I added grain in post to blend both cameras together. This is also my first time working with c-log 2 footage so I could’ve done something wrong on my end 🤷🏻♂️
Seemed like a cloudy day with huge lenses that have apertures of around 8ish so he most likely chose to have a faster shutter speed to avoid missing any shots. But this forces him to use a lot of iso. Bet it would of been a lot better with more natural light.
