You can set the M-Fn button to switch from video to photo on the R5 and I do love that more than the switch that I have on the R6mk2, its much faster and I can do both video and photo really fast. That is probably the main thing I'm gonna miss with the R5mk2

Hey Delaney. I have an R5 and i love the way it switches from photo to video. I press the mode then info buttons and i can choose from 6 video or photo functions settings, 3 of which are customizable. In addition i can be taking photos, press the record button and record video instantly without switching modes. I had an R6 for a week and sent it back becuase of overheating and it just felt cheap. Screen was smaller plus using the top dial was limited, plus couldn't save custom settings like on my R5 and even my Eos R. On the New R5II i want better videos features: clog2, better dynamic range, false color, 10 bit Wide DR, xfavc format and 4k60HQ like the R5c has. The R5 body is perfect except for the micro HDMI.
