I just bought my lady the SL2 for Christmas, so I hope she will love it. She is a brand new photographer, and she has always wanted a new camera. This is also the camera that I plan to start myself with as well. Thank you for your review!
I love taking photos and film videos at local show performances that all my friends bands play at. It’s a lot of low light with occasional lights being flashed towards me. I’m having such a difficult time trying to find a good beginning camera that would work best for a situation like this.
Hi recently found yout channel and I am very happy, because I was searching for informative and detailed reviews and videos of the Canon SL2. So thank you and keep on doing this kind of videos in the future!
I was searching for camera reviews a couple weeks ago here on RU-vid & your video was the most informative. I had no clue that canon had released the SL2 until after watching this video. Thank youuu!
Your videos have been so help in developing my photographing abilities. And you even helped me to follow my dream and go to school for photography. It's an escape from my every day life. The world looks completely different through the lense of a camera. Everything is perfect.
I am going on a 1500Km motorcycle trip around Indonesia. Currently looking to get into Photography/Filmmaking for this trip, the Canon SL2/200D looks like the perfect Camera for me to take on this trip and to enhance my creative skills with a camera.
Thank you for your videos I just bought the T7i with the video production kit. new to DSLR. needed it for high quality photos of properties and filming auditions for my wife. I suffer from FOBO. fear of better options. happy with purchase, Now I just need a crash course in how to use.
TbonesTech I'm a beginning filmmaker and I'm not sure what my first camera should be. Is the Canon SL2 a good camera to start off with? I'll be shooting RU-vid skits, short films and some feature films.
As for sending the RAW to the smarphone: actually on the wifi manual for the SL2 it's written that you can but the raw file gets converted to jpeg first. So you do have the picture on your phone, but in jpeg. Same for the 800D.
Sl2 is the future the7i is the past much smaller way easier to carry around with you absolutely great camera without any doubt in my mind I am getting the SL 2 over the 7i
This is the international version of the Rebel T7i. This means that the warranty is not good in the USA. JustU.faith/Canon800D?B I bought the extended warranty with it and it was still cheaper then the US version. Look on youtube for reviews. This was a highly rated camera. This was an upgrade from my old EOS Rebel T5. The extra features are great.
AMAZING VIDEO!! Your T6 vs T6i video was amazing also, so I'm glad you included the T6i in the beginning of this video. It really let me know to not get a T6, to consider the SL2, and to search for a great deal on the T7i. Thanks Again!
What a great comparison video! I think the Canon SL2 would be perfect for a beginner, like myself. I think it's awesome that you give back to your viewers by doing giveaways. It's amazing to see how so many people can come together and have a shared passion for photography/videography.
T7i is a good camera from Canon with a not so expensive price, nice AF points, processor. However, SL2 is one of the best camera for beginners as I hope I get it to be able to start my journey in photography and videography. Thanks for your useful videos!! Keep doing the good work!!
Thank you for this comparisson. The best camera is those which is with you .....in my opinion the SL2 win because of its weight and measurements. It´s realy designed for every day use and would be an perfect upgrade to point and shoot cameras.
First off, awsome videos man. I'm Looking Into Getting The t7i and they have a lot of different bundles on amazon just wondering if it was worth it or if it would be better to just get the camera and accessories seperate? Also what are some must haves for portrait pics and some video. Thanks
Awesome review! Thanks for all your advice. I'm just starting out, and I'm mostly into video, and I'm thinking of getting the 200D. Your review has been really helpful. Cheers. Simon.
trying to get a perfect camera to watch my little one grow this camera would be awesome and a awesome start to getting into photography! you give out best reviews!
Which Camera would one recommend for travel vlogging and travel photography? My old travel camera was made for wear and tear and i suffered with image quality, which has brought me to these two cameras.
I think i rlly need that camera. Very suitable for me because when there is a film project for school task, the camera can be taken anywhere without having to complicate. Very easy and can have good quality.
which one is better for a beginner . I've been watching your channel for a long time , and I'm really interested in cameras and photography . but I can't afford a camera .
What I like about these cameras is that they are PACKED with features for a price that the average person can afford. I've used Cannon Rebels for a while now and although there are some things I would love to have from a 5D or similar, they do a great job! I'd love to get my hands on one of those SL2's just saying ;) Great video!
Even with the slower AF, I'm sure it's still quicker than what panasonic is doing. I hope to get one of these soon as I'm ready to move up from my point and shoot.
Nine months ago I bought my first DSLR after your review of the T6 and during that period, photography has gone from a hobby to a passion and now I shoot full manual, an accomplishment I thought almost impossible at the beginning. I have to say that I would really like to win this giveaway which would give me more tools to keep creating new content, mostly videos. I would love to get such a lens too!
I have the SL2 and it's lightness is good for vlogging but it's going to jump around a bit more in your grip for zoom shots and without built in image stabilization make sure your lens comes with it
Nice video. Came across your channel when I was doing some Cam research... I bought my first DSLR and I was tempted to wait for the release of the 200D (SL2). I ended up getting the 800D (T7i). Although i plan to use the cam mainly for video I like the idea of having more focus points which will be more forgiving as a beginner when i take photos.
Yup, so far pleased, I have a project to do a short cinematographic video (ambitious for me!). It is simple and I want to highlight what the cam can do for video with the stock lens (18-55) - will drop you a line when it's done, will be good to have your opinion! Keep up the great work on the reviews! Nice one on the 80D vs SL2 :)
Hey TboneTech. I found out about your channel through your instagram page (which by the way has a very good setup for advertising) and was instantly drawn to your page. I've been looking for a good photography page as I myself love photography. I currently share a mirrorless bridge camera with my family to take sports photography for my sisters (and mums) volleyball, football plus my dads fishing. Your channel has already helped me make a decision on what I want to buy to further my love and interest of photography and I can tell you that if I won this, I would first of all take loads of photos and second of all, tell everyone I know about your amazing channel. Thank you so much, thank you for these great videos, keep it up! 👍👏👋
The 200D/SL2 with a used 24mm and 40mm pancake lenses - great for gimbal work and as a low key video camera - when you don't want to have a large camera. I'm buying one just for tracking shots to compliment my Nikon D750.
Hi TbonesTech. good video. This is great review. Comparing camera that have same model but have a lot of differences. So people can choose what they need. Great review bro.
