I believe the front spoiler was added to the orginal car because it did not meet US rules regarding fenders so had to be added to comply...The owner wasn't happy. Its an LP400s model Countach which was said to be Ferruccio favourite model Countach.
It was really needed on the Miura precursor.. apparently the only thing limiting the top speed on that was anything over 150 and it started to gain altitude at the front
@@JETJOOBOY Yes it was a LP400s. Read and weep. supercarnostalgia.com/blog/the-cannonball-run-lamborghini-countach-lp400-s-chassis-1121112#:~:text=Lamborghini%20%2D%20Lamborghini%20Countach%20LP400%20S,autumn%201979%20and%20summer%201981.
I eventually got me a GPz900r.. It was beautiful.. it also brought about the creation of the GPZ900r Appreciation Group on Facebook.. thousands of member world wide now.. sadly.. I don't have the bike anymore.. I WILL have my Countach though
As a kid i always loved this opening sequence. And here i am at age 45 and.....YES I STILL LOVE THIS OPENING SEQUENCE!!! R.I.P. to my Pop for taking me to see Cannonball Run 2 back in the summer of 84 and for staying up with me one late night to watch part ......miss you Pop and miss you to Burt!!!
Brother from another... Same same.. I still get shivvers even now.. despite knowing that the engine sound isn't from a lambo and it was severely speed up.. It's a MOVIE though.. That guy that custom built his own after watching the film managed to get it sounding almost identical even though it "only" had a Ford V8 at over 500bhp hahah... That is next level love of this intro etc.. although he did make it in deep metallic grey (it is beautiful)
Superb! In the right hands, Cannonball Run would be an epic remake--they need to tone down the silliness and write a much stronger third act. This taste of what it could look like is exciting. Well done!
I'm sure you know but just in case....There was a Cannonball Run 3, but in some countries it was released under the name "Speed Zone". Also, even though Cannonball Run for some reason, was written as a comedy, it was based on an actual event, and the organizer of the REAL event, Brock Yates, is in the movie as...the organizer of the event. His wife is the lady on the check in desk beside him. In the real event, HE drove the "Ambulance" and his wife was the fake patient in the back, and they really did have "That conversation" with the police. Now one movie which was an unsanctioned movie about the same events, was Gumball, and that is, while still funny, more raw. Brock claimed he never watched Gumball as it wasn't sanctioned by him. Re a remake, I agree it would have to be in the right hands. The creators of the "Need for speed" movie would be a good pick, as "Need for speed" (love it or hate it) was done with traditional car stunts rather than GCI. The last thing I'd want to see is Cannonball run turn into "Fast and Furious", (much as I love them for what they are).
Nice...but I think you'll find the Lamborghini was an LP-400s. I believe it was Ferruccio Lamborghini's fav Countach model.....(not with the front wing which was added because of US road laws regarding bumpers as I recall.)
Ok that’s awesome! Now how bout cannonball run 2 intro when there driving the red Lamborghini that gets washed off and is then a red Lamborghini? Can we start a campaign for that? If your gonna do one why not do both ? Everyone agree?
@@larsgehrt DUDE THAT IS SO KICK ASS!! The beginning of both of those movies are just so awesome! Plus they are just so ICONIC, the cast of both movies alone was just amazing to be able to get together! If they tried to make any kind of movie like that today actors would want an arm & a leg to film it. Plus I can’t think of anyone else who could play the parts that those actors played! There isn’t a group of actors that could even come close to their chemistry on that set! Hal Nedham who started out as a stunt man & double for Burt Reynold’s asked Burt if he would do a movie about running coots beer east of the Georgia border and Burt did the movie for some ridiculous cheap fee then he did the cannon ball movies. He was a genius at casting each character for part. In all his movies! But I can’t wait to see Part 2 please email me the finished product and let me see it before anyone else! I would be honored Thanks Chris klatter Cklatter@gmail.com
NEXT. Get all the classic car owners (track down that deep Grey Silver Replica based on the one in the film... The guy built it from scratch over 17 years in his basement .. he had to dig into the basement and knock a hole in the wall to get it out.. Google it) Then A REAL REMAKE. 2022 Drone Shots, modern Cameras... (Same music... Or remix)?? Remake that WHOLE SCENE AGAIN
Great job! I'd love this and the actual movie intro even better without the music. Just looking at that beautiful car and hearing that beautiful sound! Anyone know a video you can listen to that awesome carbureted V12 sound as it's going through those long gears?
The part why the Cannonball Countach sounded so damn good is due to the 12 exhaust pipes. If you heard a orginal Countach at same rpm you will be disappointed as it sounds nothing like the movie car. I was really bummed first time I've heard a Countach drove past me.
I love the motion blur effect when it zooms past. Though I think the camera being so ridged to the vehicels detract from the greatness of the video. Maybe some camera shake or maybe just some slow pan and tilt. Though, it gets rid of the thing I hated the most about the real intro, and that was the obvious "play the video at 1½ speed" to make it look fast..
sure, i made everything in 3d max, modelling, textures, rendering. Then I took engine sounds from various cars from the internet and used after effects and premiere pro to cut my movie together. You can see my Lamborghini 3d model here: www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/car/sport/lamborghini-countach-5000-qv cheers
The countach of Cannonball is a Low Body 1979 and the countach that do you use is 5000, this is taller and fat the low body is lower and slim, looks different, but the video is great
To be fair the lowbody vs highbody is virtually impossible to tell from the outside unless 2 cars are side by side. What is wrong is your car is badged as a 5000S and also seems to have the QV engine lid as well as the wrong shape rear wing
@@th3b0untyhunter The cars are totally different, Low Body 2" lower, front wider, the low body look large and stylish, the high body looks fat, check this video: Countach Low body ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FOqPmpnsY7Y.html www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?/topic/25923-low-body-vs-later-countach/
