You can leave it in for 1 day or any amount you want. It depends on the hairstyle you are doing. I left mine in for 7 days then washed it out. Yes for this one I put too much cream in my hair. I should have put less.

Yes definitely, it will work well for men and women with wavy hair. You may not want to add too much gel though.
