it's just crazy how this guy on his first year on the team stepping at every critical moment and carrying the team and when they lose he is coming out and taking the blame ,that's why i admire this guy and FOR ME he was GENG's best player for most of the year and for sure their first leader.
I mean yeah Canyon is an amazing player but he didn't step up this series. Only players that were trying to win are Chovy and Kiin. There was a huge gap in the jungle and bot the whole series.
Am a T1 fan, but i genuinely felt so bad for the GenG players. They are all incredible players and canyon especially I feel like, really tried to show up in this series. I hope he, along side the rest of GenG, keep their heads up high because their futures are still burning bright
I am a t1 fan too but I felt so bad especially when I saw the expression of GenG players as they made their vow in front of the fans. I just hope Chovy, Peyz and Lehends will have the chance to raise the Summoner's Cup.
You're a nice T1 fan. Alot of them just straight up trash and say nasty things about other teams and regions.. which unfortunately makes the fanbase look sooooooooooo bad.
Respect to Canyon. Even if they failed to win worlds, he helped bring GenG to greater heights and won them their first MSI. I hope he stays and im sure GENG with canyon chovy will always be a menace to LCK and will hold teams to a great standard.
As a geng fan I'll keep loving and supporting canyon and geng regardless of the worlds results. This year was a year full of joy happiness and a little bit of sorrow. Thank you y'all for everything
Saying he never regreted leaving DK makes me feel bad for Showmaker. Damwon was a great team during their peak. Sad to see them disband like griffin too. I understand that some players just wanted to win no matter what and that emotions are at times have to be step aside.
I know he did not regret it since their team won MSI and he is hungry for victory thats why he join GEN G even thought they have dissapointing run this worlds. Still they are one of the top contenders to world
@@leaguefixesyourmatches8259nuguri went to LPL bcoz their offer is higher and DK cant match it. Cant blame him, he chose what he taught is best for him.
2021 broke Showmaker. Lost to LPL on both MSI and Worlds and has been on a downward spiral for him. And DK was hella fraudulent the past 2 years. Can't even get past swiss stage.
I feel sad GENG lost and obviously as fans we are also here to support but also here to criticize. I won't stop supporting the team, because I am not forgetting how the won LCK Spring, how they won MSI, how they almost won LCK Summer and how they were really strong going into Worlds. But at the same time, I can also criticize whoever I feel was not on par for the loss vs T1, or the "underperformance" against FLY.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 ggnt canyon u fought really well, im still proud of u regardless the result ❤ no matter what i will be supporting gen.g, thank u very much for your hardwork this year! Thank you too for the eng sub and interview Ashley ❤
There are two players that i always support outside of T1 , Teddy and Canyon. It was kinda hard seeing T1 loosing against Geng over and over again, but this year was better because i saw Canyon being really happy winning after soooo long. I know he will keep doing his best wherever he goes (even if he stays with GENG).
Despite Lehends being absolutely attroxious this whole series every single GenG player should have the same mindset as Canyon - blame only yourself and try your best to become better
It's a pretty professional mindset to have, but you also have to be careful with how much you blame yourself. Definitely respectful and the way to grow though.
You can also blame teammates if you do it in a positive way that helps them grow, as long as you also look at yourself and how you could have done personally. Trying to take all the blame and not sharing the load when the load can be rightfully shared is wrong.
I blame their coaching staff, I don't blame Lehends since they are too focused on mid and jungle comfort picks on their games. they don't create new team comps just full on meta champions. compared to T1 where T1 play roam supports and utility supports like pyke, bard, Renata. While GenG is all about engage support which T1 focused on their weakness since T1 relies on pop strat. pop the 1st enemy seen (which is the engage supp) and it creates a 4v5 plus eliminating the only one who can do engages hurts the setup of GenG's teamfight.
Is Kiin that guy that went 0/7 game 3 The Chovy slander is really crazy, always the recency bias against him when it comes to internationals but this series was definitely not his fault
@@rashta5817 Love seeing beautiful correct takes from league netizens when 95% of the player base hasn’t peaked higher than emerald, yes he definitely “hogs farm” that’s how it works
Canyon my 🐐. You don't have to be sad or depressed. You are a World champion, an MSI title holder and a 4-peat domestic champion. It's just 1 series loss at Worlds and GenG ended third place anyways. While T1 had to scrape during EWC and this Worlds. Heads up, you gave them a great fight, you pushed T1 so hard at every domestic and international face offs, you will have your time, wait for it... until the right moment, TRAIN, PRACTICE, LEARN, keep that fire burning. Let's go!
That's actually pretty commendable on his part. Despite the loss, he still managed to do well in the interview. Canyon will bounce back stronger for sure.
I don’t think Canyon is extremely impacted by the loss,,,disappointed of course but not like devastated. It’s part of their job to win and lose they used to it.
It is part of being a pro player. All sports have this. You have to be ready and composed even after losing because interviews will always be there. It is a part of winning or losing.
I am a T1 diehard fan. But I will always have respect for teams like GenG and BLG that keep pushing our rooster to their limits. There is no better teacher for T1 than failure and hardship. Thank you GenG and Canyon for elevating T1 to the team they are today.
Look at Canyon now, he looks dead inside. Look at showmaker with lucid, they don't win much but they're happy. Also chovy didn't choke this year but the same thing happens every year is crazy. He just doesn't want to take risks and make plays. He just doesn't take the initiative. He just doesn't have that clutch factor in him. If the team is behind, he will just be there... Neutral... watching his team slowly bleed. On the other hand, T1, you beat them countless times and they will still get back up, try to make plays and try to make things happen. That's what chovy is lacking, the champion factor. I will never ever doubt T1.
@@jackyye4040 that's one way to say it and it's mind boggling that the player revered to as the "next" goat of lol, when it matters the most just does nothing. He's too afraid to go out of his comfort zone.
@@tnetennba2053 If you watch most of their games when they win/lose they are laughing/smiling. Look at canyon and geng when they win, they look emotionless. This time, it finally got to them I think. The pressure of actually winning this year, if it's not now then when will they win a worlds title. They literally have every piece. 🤷
As a T1 fan.. I am so happy they finally overcame the curse, but I also feel so bad for GenG. They played so well and they are all such amazing players. I hope they get lots of love and support from here on out!
I don’t think Canyon is extremely impacted by the loss,,,disappointed of course but not like devastated. It’s part of their job to win and lose they used to it. Players who are on top have really strong mentality ….they actually don’t really care what the haters say.
Not extremely impacted but he is def feeling it. You can clearly see he is sad af. He works hard and will work harder and harder. I just want to see him wiin Worlds one last time man
That game 1 Baron play is really stuck in his mind and he holds himself accountable for that loss deeply. That might've had an impact on all the players mentally aswell. nevertheless, Canyon is one of the greatest junglers and he will figure out how to comeback even stronger that ever. Coming from a T1 fan since day 1. GGWP GEN .G
I don't really know what's happening but I think Coach Kim has something to do with the hesitant playstyle from GEN, especially Peyz. I saw a similar kind of anxiety when he coached T1.
They only need one last piece, that is a competitive support. Idk if BeryL fits the mould (I didn't see his performance in Summer 24) but if he does they'll be a tough team to beat.
my first thought. they should NEVER interview people the same day. Like, GIVE THEM BREAK. I'm a T1 diehard fan, I have huge respect for GenG ( rivalry is very important to me), and EVERYONE needs rest, especially those who have lost. Let them grief their loss and do the interview couple of days after. they're humans maaaaaaaaaaan ( yes, I almost sobbed watching this inderview )
Interviewer dig hard to let the player says "I regret" 😂 the boy didn't regret being in the best team of LCK, it's just T1 evolve to another level when at worlds.
Tbh I think Canyon, Peyz and Chovy definitely do well together…considering their first year playing together they definitely achieve a lot! Sometimes just need that right team combination and moment to win, still believe in them and know they will achieve another title soon! Please don’t beat your self up too much!
I understand why Canyon would feel responsbile and take accountabilty for losing the series, but you were not the issue. Lehends should take majority of the blame since he was feeding.
I think the problem with Gen.G is they always want to play perfect. they're afraid of doing something that doesn't guarantee victory. They lack creativity and guts. Just look how Flyquest impressed the world by picking off meta champs.
It's insane how a couple of bad games and everyone is flaming this roster when it was clearly insane the whole year. Personally, it seemed like the worlds pressure was too high because they didn't seem like the same team, I hope the roster stays the same or similar and wish them the best.
This man has nothing to hold his head down about. This man is the only man with a main that he tends to pick whenever he gets a chance and the opposing team literally has to strategize about how to go about draft with this in mind. This is literally unheard of! and he pops off everytime. I feel bad for the GenG players But u have nothing to hold your head down about.
I like Canyon and Peyz, also Kiin is a oneside player, no hard feelings for Lehends but Chovy is the one who killed their hope to win, he will not and will not try different playstyle, he just farm to win like stardew valley, that is why i say "Chocky" because i hate him so much and his playstyle, he just doesnt want to take initiative, he just doesnt want to take risk for his team, he just doesnt want to help his teammates and just keep farming and farming and farming like he is just selfish, his team even try to compensate for his playstyle, as i know about Canyon he likes playing carry but nah he always pick tanks because of that Chovy.
Canyon and kiin literally carried the whole GenG franchise especially on game 2. Meanwhile, peyz was invisible the entire series, lehends ran it down, and chovy perma cs in sidelanes especially in game 3
it was a question of day form, meta read and playstyle. T1 ramp up during those tournament, GEN G is unchallenged all year so they can't figure out their weakness, the grow complacent in their playstyle and they dont diverse their win condition enough. After the Game 1 it was a mental game and T1 came out on top. I don't think that this team should disband they should resign for another year cause they still can make it big in 2025.
what Chovy needs to improve is his winner mentality.. he's afraid of taking risk, he got no WHAT WAS THAT?? factor on him.. the way he's playing right now is somehow similar to young faker where the team should revolve around him as they're the main carry of the team, on the other hand as Faker matures he now plays for the team setting up incredible plays that will feed the team
Bro, young Faker was different! He is far from chovy. He literally is carrying his team and making plays and is a clucth factor of T1. You gotta rewatch young Faker bro. He is built different since start.
honestly chovy doesnt compare to young faker at all lol, as you said, since the beginning fakers been the "WHAT WAS THAT?" player, chovy simply never has been.
Geng lacks nerves of steel to be World's champion. They should relax in LCK, be experimentally at #2 or 3. Make it easier for them on World's stage next year.
lol this is Canyon just telling GenG “Hey I still liked being part of the team this year, however since all 5 of our contracts are up in 3 weeks… you might wanna take out that check book and pay me what I’m worth if you want me to continue playing next year.” It’s a shame he took a giant pay cut in order to accommodate Chovy’s paycheck this year
well he joined GEN G because he always wanted to compete for titles sure it would be better if showmaker went with him then they would actually win worlds but he does not regret joining GEN G if anything he regrets staying on DK after 2021 playing with pathetic self destructive rosters
Actually I understand that some people are very disappointed in gen.g now But do they really deserve all this hate? They showed amazing results in this year, and bring msi trophy to lck after 7 years! In fact I hope that they will remember this bitter defeat well, perhaps exactly that they needed to…. Hope they not change this roster, and in next year geng return stronger and take revenge…. You know - The important thing is an unbreakable heart
This interview isn't fair on Canyon. We can cleary see there are players who may be stable enough to win league over 2 seasons but they aren't built for the big stage/ worlds. One player completely bottled it for them during T1 series.
I cringe so hard at T1 fans and GenG fans trashtalking each other. Both teams are very close in skill. They are in fact so close that alot of small things started to matter like GenG not preparing for Flyquest amd ended up exposing 5 games of draft strategies. GenG probably prepared for T1 amd TES and didn't consider Flyquest wortg their time. It's the same mistake IG made with Team Liquid at MSI. Eastern teams don't have a high opinion of western teams except for G2. Since most scrims end with Eastern team winning regardless of comp. This way of thinking costed them worlds
Why would he regret leaving DK and joining Gen.G?? He was able to win MSI and move further up in worlds with Gen.G. DK isn't in the best form as of now and Gen.G has been a better team for him
My only question is since canyon and kiin one shotted faker ahri in last game . FOR WHAT REASON CHOVY LEHENDS AND PEYZ FORCED A FIGHT AT 4 MEMBERS AT T1.....
Canyon, Chovy and Kiin should stay.... Get rid of that bot duo... Peyz constantly need his team to take enemies focus away from him so he can farm... They literally babysit him every game.... Lehends on the other hand, idk what that guy is doing... Get Beryl or bring back Delight
And replace him with who? Zeka has better clutch factor but not necessarily consistent, and BDD is solid but idt his highs are as high. Showmaker is also kind of washed, but he does have proven synergy with canyon ig?
as T1 fans years ago i want canyon join T1, i think if canyon join T1, T1 will be unbeatable, but yeah oner growing, but still this day i really want canyon join T1... sorry for my bad english, T1 fans here from indonesia!!!
bro stop it, all of T1 players come from t1 academy they were not traded, they were created by T1, their synergy is what allows this to be possible, and all of t1 players at one point they were the uncontested number 1 in their respective roles, what would be the point to trade for someone else?
Well, Canyon, you did say you joined GENG for the sole purpose of winning and even took a near half paycut. You say you regret nothing, but I have a feeling joining GENG to only win MSI and Spring and just to become another choker like the rest of them at Worlds was a horrendous decision. It's not like you have infinite time as a pro-player. You have, like, maybe 2-3 years left before military.
@larrysanders846 I highly doubt Canyon will be around for another 4 years, and even if he does, he is for sure going to be washed, and newer junglers will overtake him and qualify over him
@@matthewchi5292 that is yet to start to happen, also to say this year was an objective failure is wrong, t1s current roster didnt win msi in their first year did they?
Siento que no deberia ser entrevistados despues de perder, ya que siento que lo estarian reprimiento por perder y lastimar su orgullo, o tal vez me equivoque nose...
Did we watch the same series? Chovy didn’t choke at all, T1 just played better. Game 4 was winnable for GenG when they evened out the gold lead. It was up to the very last teamfight that decided it all.
@@Zabazoe Chovy didn't choke, but he simply didn't perform either. For years he's been touted as "the next Faker", "the greatest midlaner in the world", etc. But when it comes to making the clutch plays he simply doesn't have it in him.
T1 has been a complete failure for 2 years straight but they show up in the 1 place that matters worlds. Winning MSI is probably way harder than worlds but no one cares that much about MSI as a title especially sponsors so this year it's not that great for GENG.
Won LCK, won MSI and went to Worlds semifinals with GenG, while Damwon is stuck in Swiss for two years in a row. Yeah, he definitely should’ve stayed with Shoemaker!
