Driving the Canyon Rim Road in the Monongahela National Forest. This 7 mile long trail is between Douglas and Route 219 West Virginia. It features lots of mud holes, a big washout, fantastic scenery and a stop at the Olson Fire Tower.
Yes, compared to the west there’s not much off-roading on offer. Also what is available is no where near as technical as what you’re used to. We have to make the best of what we have 😢
There's an overlook on Canyon Rim rd. that no off roaders ever show. ??. Comment added September 2023. I've been going to the Parsons and surrounding areas for 53 years.
Yes I've heard that Parsons point is the place to be for stunning sunsets. We unfortunately couldn't make it on our last trip. Hopefully next time. Thanks for the comment.
Yes it’s stock. I have a 2020 Off Road Premium. I got through the wash ok. I did bump the bottom once but got through without any issues. It’s amazing where this vehicle can go. I love the 4Runner
