This gel problem is why I prefer Clif Bloks. You still have to reach into your back pocket but they don't make a mess and are easier to get at. I just cut the top before I start he ride and then I can just squeeze them out one by one. 3 blocks is about the same as 1 gel and there are 6 per package.

When I'm racing, I do have the same trouble to get and open the food in my pocket. The best solution for me : I put small fruit bar or almond bar with no packaging in my pocket. Easy to reach for and eat, no waste ... and very cheap

There's a company in Australia called Megabake that makes a soft plastic flask with a bite valve to dispense and carry gel. Very similar to your idea, it's called the Wunderflask.

About the gels... there are gals that have reopenable cover like the ones from Nutrend (#NotSponsored) or you can just buy smaller gels maybe? Idk what gels you use...

1. Great stuff - love your videos and humour ty 2. Put a gel or candy or bar under your shorts cuffs - flip under over to put the wrappers back when you’re done - loose 0.0001 watts tho 3. Drink more water to avoid cramping when taking on sugar 4. When i was a poor junior couldnt afford rich old guy food so old fashioned fig bars and jelly sandwiches and dried fruit and sucking up the puke during the inevitable food zone sprint built the iron stomach - now im old and complain about hills up both directions!!! GL! And ty for the great videos.

I Love the Speedmax-Dropbar-Roadbike-Verson! Could you photoshop the Cube Aerium C:68 (triathlon version) to have dropbars? I think the Cube is the hottest TT-Bike.

Hi Andres - this is a great question. I have friends that ride Ribbles and they are perfectly happy with them - the problem for my channel is their website deosnt have large enough side view images of the bikes - they're either very small or shot at an angle, so I can't compare them to other bikes.

I doubt you can fit clip-on aerobars on the Aeroad, as the aero tops wouldn't work with the round clamps of most clip-on bars. And even if Canyon makes one that fits, you'd lack the angle adjustability that round clamps offer. So personally I'd either go with an older model aero bike with a separate stem/handlebar and a flip/flop seatpost (the first gen Venge and Ceepo road bikes come to mind). You'd probably save more watts *and be more comfortable* with a more optimal body position than the latest aero bike anyway.

Remember 2019 70.3 world's was won on an aero road bike. Obviously the course factors into it but a tri specific bike isn't ways necessary.

Canyon claims that you can't put any clip on tri bars on the Aeroad. Just saying because i was just considering the same thing you mentioned in the video. Need a new Road Bike, but wanna go a bit deeper into triathlon at the same point. Not able to afford money for both a high end road bike + a TT bike so i wanted to get the Aeroad. But Canyon told me cockpit wont holt clip bars on it... well, maybe they just want to sell two bikes instead of one..

You could just remove the Canyon cockpit and put on a more conventional stem and bars. Components that retain the integrated appearance are available.

slurping gels on a hard ride is the biggest problem I have with cycling. Only thing that cant be solved by throwing money at it apparently.

What's not to understand? When going into corners or downhill you can brake later and harder therefore you keep your speed a little longer a.k.a. Marginal Gains

@@thegrall6377 I guess if you use a tt bike in a hilly area that would make some sense. But, assuming that there isn't a downhill TT like in this years Giro, you'd have to climb it too in which case you might be better off using a normal modern roadbike in most situations.

Looking more closely it looks like it has a compact chainring on there too so they must have had climbing in mind
