Day 1: Elephant Hill Trailhead, Elephant Hill trail to Chesler Park Trail. Chesler Park trail and Chesler Park Loop trail to Devil's Kitchen trail Junction. Devil's Kitchen trail to Devil's Pocket campsite (DP1)
Day 2: DP1 camp, Devil's Kitchen trail to Devil's Kitchen. Devil's Kitchen to Elephant Canyon trail to Chesler Park Trail junction. Chesler Park Trail to Elephant Hill trail to the Elephant Hill Trailhead.
Trip total: 13.78 mi, 2.070 ft elevation gain.

Hike Notes
This was my last hike in the Needles District for the trip, a backpacking overnighter in the Devil's Pocket. The hiking was easy, the weather was great, the landscape truly beautiful and I had the camp site at DP1 all for myself - dry camp and dry itinerary so I carried all my water for the two days. Could not ask for more! It was my third time down the Elephant Hill and Chesler Park trails for the trip: the one I enjoyed the most despite repeating the same walk. The cloudy sky provided a different ambience and traffic was surprisingly low. Although it was the Devil's Kitchen trail and the Devil's pocket area that I enjoyed the most. A true gem of Canyonlands. I saw no Evil and had a beautiful quiet sunset and night at DP1. The Devil's Kitchen to Elephant Canyon trail was also very beautiful and very enjoyable. The perfect backpacking trip to complete my visit to the Needles.
