Capablanca is one of the most underrated players of all time. There was a time during his career as a champion. He was considered unbeatable. I'd like the way you annotate the games. You're almost like a sports announcer, giving a play-by-play.😂👍
Capablanca was a chess world champion and had a rating of over 2700. That's not an underrated player, but one of the greatest players ever to play chess..
@kevinmalone3210 What I meant by underrated? Is no one? Nowadays, seems to talk very much about him. You hear about Bobby Fischer. Magnus Carlson Gary Kassparov
Capablanca is the reason i played chess. And i love the Queens Gambit. Capablanca taught me so much by playing and studying his games. Whats so amazing, is that Capablanca just knew the best move to play in every postion. My favorite chess player. He just knew.
Thank you so much to feature the great José Raúl Capablanca! Capa is one of my romantic chess heroes. His beautiful, crystal clear style, his roots in the Belle Époque, the dandy-like style of the man himself, no robotic computer chess, the easiness of his wins... it is funny, that Capa in his time of reign was called "the chess machine", whereas he was the exact opposite of a machine but a natural genius who did not study lines 24/7, like today's chess pros. For Capa chess was still a game in the best sense of the term, and the ease of his games is unsurpassed till today.
In the Glicco game you might have outlined the Cambridge Springs trap, as your viewers would have noticed that black’s d pawn appears to hang after 5cd ed 6Nd5 due to the pin. BUT 6…Nd5 7 Bd8 Bb4+ wins back the Q in addition to the extra piece.
Capa is the reason I exclusively play the queens gambit if allowed. Thanks for the upload dude. You rock! Also would you be willing to cover Fischer's benoni/KID games? He was the greatest benoni player ever imo
Why during the Stoewhass game, when Black Queen check dies White use the knight to block, then white bishop to d3 opening for castle kingside. That gets the 2nd white rook out of the corner and the black queen has to run. Am I missing something?
I notice that Capablanca's Opponents had four opportunities to play the Meran Variation moves ( after BxP on QB4, P-QN5 followed by P-QR6 and P-QB5). Capablanca did not have a single win against the Meran, though he actually beat Saemisch with Black with it. Was there a stigma against the Meran in Capa's time???
@@BREAKocean yeah, i saw. as someone who has worked on youtube for five years now, writing for a few channels, I would rather someone tell me in the comments that a mistake has been made rather than let me leave up a mistake. cheers man. I didn't wanna start any problems with Sammy, I just really wanted to help.
I've been writing for youtube since 2020 mate, and one thing I've learned is that if you make a mistake the viewers are always ready, willing and able to correct you haha@@SammyChess1 - would love to see you cover Fabiano's Petrov [including the impossible winning line from the Magnus-Fabi WCC]. Cheers man, glad to see these videos doing so well. Would love to see MVL's Grünfeld or Najdorf here too!
I like your format. I just subscribed . . not to boost your numbers like some miopic self-absorbed . . . nevermind. But because I want to see more of your videos . . maybe all of them ! thank You.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN IN JESUS NAME
