The NEW Best Day Ever - Part III of III.
July 2023 was off the charts - striped bass fishing at the Cape Cod Canal was unmatched! On this particular day we had just about everything... A jig bite, top water bite and swimmers bite played out as you saw during parts I & II.
For the final installment of the NEW Best Day Ever, I was fishing with Rob. Others had either called it a day earlier or were elsewhere, also slaying fish. Following the magic swimmer bite shown in Part II of this series Rob and I rode our bikes further East and encountered a mackerel bait ball like I hadn't seen in many years. We continued with swimmers. I stuck with the magic swimmer and Rob was tossing a variety of minnows and other swimming lures. The bite was constant with mackerel swimming into us. Check out the madness... The statement, "fish at our feet" is the perfect description!
