We just got gift certs for the Platinum dinner car from one of our children. Very excited. We live in North central Mass so we hit the Cape 8-10 times a year even if it's just for a weekend, but we've never tried the rails. Your video helped us get a glimpse of what to expect so thank you for that. The North Conway Railroad also has a wonderful 3-4 hr ride with the dining option also.
Just a cool historical fact for you, the “New Haven” locomotive we see at the beginning pulling into the station is the railroad that original built and operated the line in cape cod, and before the museum up until 1968 is the only railroad that served the cape. They were a major player in the northeast and would bring craploads of tourists from Boston to Hyannis and woods hole regularly making this train set really cool bc it’s historically correct. 70 years ago you would see locomotives with the same paint scheme running up and down the rail on the cape.
