We had a cottage at Swift’s beach in Wareham. It was wonderful time when we were young .. I am 73 years old and I still live an hour away from the cape..I come from a big Italian family so our family had three cottages together. Nothing like Cape Cod❤❤although the traffic is a nightmare coming and going.. thank you for bringing back memories of my childhood❤❤ back then when we used to hitchhike to Hyannis, Providence town, Truro.. also love Dennisport, Brewster, Eastham, check out the local towns if you get a chance.. love Nauset Beach❤did you see the lighthouse? Long tide does the best clamming for quahogs and razor clams.
You’re not living your life wrong. Keep in mind this is a glamorized view of a one week vacation. How many times have you gone on vacation where the lifestyle of the destination seems so much better than your own life? It’s not. When we are away on vacation, regardless of where it is, it seems magical and almost fairytale-like; then you return to your ho-hum life and feel unfulfilled. That’s the point of vacationing. Some of my favorite vacations are actually “stay-cations.” I explore the beauty of where I live and find my own magical places in my home state. I actually just found a tiny little park that I never knew existed with a long babbling brook and waterfall and lush green grass and wild flowers along the brook. I felt like I was transported to fairy land. My imagination was going crazy and I went back with my easel and paints. This was just 45 minutes from my house. It also cost me zero dollars. Going away on vacation is wonderful, but my point is, you are not living your life wrong. You just need to find the magic and beauty where you are in between your away vacations. As far as this video goes, this girl will always remember her summer vacation at the cape with her family as beautiful and magical just as I remember my staycation at fairy land. Always create your own magic regardless of where you are. 😊
