Thanks. We both said that we wanted this trip to be about discovering places in the county that we hadn't visited before and for the most part that's what we managed to do, with a couple of old favourites in the mix too. The pool was great. We use RU-vid to find new locations for us to visit too😀👍
Alex you are out of this world, it was a blast visiting Cape C, we had chocolate with us to eat at the top, but we cant remember if it was a milky way or a mars bar. We had thought about skinny dipping in the pool, but didn't want to moon😀🚀
Bit on the chilly side for taking a dip but you've just got to love Cornwall and Devonshire such a beautiful and fantastic place thanks for sharing definitely thumbs up from us. 👍
Great video 👍 underwater shots were fabulous! Torrey Canyon disaster was 1967, devastating to wildlife but arguably Britain's government's decision to clean the beaches with excessive and indiscriminate use of powerful chemicals, to try to protect the holiday industry, had a far worst effect. That is thought to have been the start of the environmental awareness movement. I remember great clumps of oil washing up on beaches for years after the disaster. If you got it on your clothes you could not wash it out, dogs fur had to be cut to remove it.
It was terrible. They even used napalm to try to clear it! It's shameful that even today the rocks are stained black because of it all around the coastline. Until the lady at the coast watch station told Keith that, we presumed the colour was natural. Thanks as always for watching Sue.
Great looking place for a chilled out swim. A controlled cold water immersion is supposed to be Good for ya I hear lol, an unexpected one can cause a heart attack I also have heard 😨 Another great vid guys 🙂🚐👍
We have heard the same. It was a great place to have a swim, nice and quiet. We have been visiting Cornwall for years but never found this place before.😀
It is beautiful down there. Hope to see you at some gathering or other. We hold one in May each year in Derbyshire so maybe then if not before. Safe journey to the USofA

@@DesmondsDonders lol. Apparently it always collected sea water but they built the wall in the 50's so that it would retain more water during low tide👍
Guys, after discussing the TORREY CANYON, SATURDAY OCT 5, I was watching a programme, I has recorded’MODERN MARVELS’---ENGINEERING DISASTERS, and the ship showed up, even showing some cleanup, CHEERS FROM NJ, USA.🇬🇧🇺🇸
It's like when you buy a new vehicle, you suddenly start seeing them everywhere! We have also had the ship crop up in the last few days in random conversations with people and also a mention on a TV programme we watched over here😀

Bracing - that is a word for the freezing cold water pool.. lol. Lovely views but then Cornwall has some of the most spectacular views around... just don't live there, you can go anywhere in the winter and you can't go anywhere in the summer. Although I got a life time ban from a pub in Newquay for saying it was a lovely part of England lol. Take care both, hope Keith's finger is fully healed x
Cornwall certainly has the views, but still doesn't compete with the west coast up in Scotland for us. Banned for life, they don't like being en Angletairre do they lol. Keith's finger is healed now thanks though he has lost a bit of feeling in it😞
@@CampervanTales Lol, the Cornish could teach the Scottish a few things about independence to be honest. I know what you mean Daryl, nothing compares to the views and sights of rugged Scotland. But it is a lot warmer in Cornwall than here lol. Sorry to hear of the loss of feeling in Ketih's finger, that's a shame. Lol, neither of us remembered me saying it until we were editing it.😀 We watched old newsreel of the disaster on RU-vid and it's amazing what they did to try and disperse the oil, even using napalm! Looking forward to seeing you again next month😀❤
